So I've spent the first two days of unemployment seemingly doing nothing. Of course I filled out unemployment insurance applications, registered for work and applied to about ten jobs. However, I always feel like I'm not doing anything when I am looking for a job. It's sort of irritating.
In other news, I have a new ambition. I was watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with some friends when I noticed something hysterical early in the movie. If you've seen it (and remember it) then you know there is a part where Indiana Jones skips out of his office hours only to get cornered by someone's henchmen. He then ends up in some guy's posh penthouse where there is a party going on. The guy comes in in a tux, talks about the Holy Grail and then is admonished--by his evening dress clad wife--for neglecting his guest.
The only problem? It's seriously like 2 in the afternoon. Who throws a cocktail party at two in the afternoon which requires tuxedo and evening dress?! I don't know- but that is my new ambition. I think it is would be quite swank. lol
I also watched about half of SpiderMan 2. That movie is dreadful; the first one was so bad that we made mortal enemies in the theater because we made fun of it so mercilessly. This one managed actually to be worse; I was surprised. I couldn't even make it through it.
Thus this week has borne the following: no job, a desire for a 2 o'clock formal cocktail party, and a realization that even though SpiderMan 3 is going to have wicked graphics (I love Venom!) I simply cannot watch it.
