I realized, today, that I've never actually watched The Wall, in its entirety, completely sober.
Also I shouldn't listen to Pink Floyd at two in the morning because bad things happen and I start drawing crazy things. Awesome crazy things, but still. And Windows Media Player's little visual effecty thing goes amazingly well with Pink Floyd's music, much better than with anything else.
And listening to The Wall makes me kind of want to go time-travelling, you know, to see what it was like, back then. Because the music, everything, would mean so much more if I'd experienced it.
And I need to start studying the World War II era. It's so... I don't even know how to explain it. I think I'm turning into a history nerd, and that's about all I can say. I mean, it's the planes and the cars and gasmasks, God I love gasmasks, and it's the fear and the terror but despite all that, it's survival. It's coming out on top over insurmountable odds. It's just incredible, all of it.
I may just have to do some research and write myself a World War II historical.
