Writer's Block: Space Wars
The original Alien. Hands down. Maybe 2001 after that, but lets face it, despite being groundbreaking/breathtaking, it's kinda boring.
I really wanted Event Horizon to work when it came out, but it didn't. I still think there's legs in the space horror genre. There just has to be the right vehicle.
Buzz on the street is that this guy:
is gonna try. Has an interesting director/cast, but these kind of things can go wrong so fast it's not even funny.
