So, yeah, I haven't updated in five weeks, and I still have nothing to post here. I'm like a creative black hole these days it seems. Back in january I was knocking out posts on an average rate of one a day. Now it's a miracle if I manage one a month.
Feel kind of in limbo of late, down to a number of things. Largest is probably the whole ending university and finding work thing. Unlike most though, so far I've managed neither. Next week I find out exactly how badly I screwed up the final year (before anyone tries to reassure me, at the very least I've got to do one resit as I missed an exam), which should be fun. Maybe I'll have to do the whole year over again or something. I'd avoid the whole work thing for another year then I suppose. See, I can find a bright side in everything. On the work front, there seems to be bugger all, so I've ended up applying for temp work at Tesco, which would be godawful if I got it, but at the very least it's money, and the hours are good (midnight - 8am). Combined with several other stuff that's been bothering me, everything feels kind of odd at the moment. I expect it will all sort itself out though.
Now, onto the confession part of this entry. Despite my ramblings against it in the past, and my mocking of those who enjoy this kind of crap, I find myself absorbed by this years Big Brother. Yeah, it surprised me too. It's purely down to the whole car crash tv factor of it rather than any quality programming or some deep psychological study. I've just found myself becoming more and more involved with it as it's gone along, to the point where I actually care who wins, which has never, ever happened in the past. Hell, I couldn't even tell you the names of those in the previous ones. Still, it's pretty embarassing, but I guess we've nicely got it out of the way now.
For anyone not keeping up with my site (I wouldn't either to be honest; it sucks), you can now find a ton of
2004 TV Pilot Reviews where I pretty much slate every upcoming show on the fall schedule. More shows are being added on an almost daily basis as well. Similarily, the
Film Reviews section is now back online, and I'm adding reviews here almost daily as well. Look for reviews of The Punisher and Elf to be following shortly.
Franz Ferdinand's 'Michael' is being released as a single. Courageous move considering the number of fans that re-edit the entire album just to remove that one track.
