Rat Patootie

It's time for another livejournal post from my Nintendo Wii.

Tonight I saw an advance screening of Pixar's Ratatolle. I probably spelled that one wrong. The movie was great even if the seats at the Grand Lake kind of sucked.

I'm not going to say too much about it, because it would be torture on the Wii, but it was good. I'm gonna have to see it again. Might even write about it for smarterthantim.

I'll say this though, it felt a little weird watching a rat in a kitchen. All the fucking mouse bullshit I've had to deal with, it was just weird.

I once shot a mouse in the head with a bb gun to put it out of its misery (it was stuck in a trap, and I was pissed at it for being such a filthy animal and shitting on my bed after chewing on a quilt my great grandmother had sown) and this movie makes me root for the little bastards.

Eh. Still. Go see it.

It was kind of fitting that I got to drive by Pixar's front gate before seeing this film. I like things like that. I also think there were some Pixar employees in the theater. Just kind of makes me happy to know that.

Also, in the trailer for WALL-E, it showed Pixar bigwigs eating at my dad's favorite place for breakfast, The Hidden City Cafe. I've ate in the same place, maybe the same chair as John Lasseter. I've been to the place where most of Pixar's biggest successes were, literally, drawn out.

Also. The Hidden City is where I discovered Zap Mama. So that place is just totally cool.
