I'm so glad we finally have a president who will stand up and fight irresponsible greedy wall street exec's!!!
I'm so sick of hearing about CEO's who ran their companies into the ground then reward themselves with multimillion dollar bonuses!!! They should pass a law in congress that says they can take away those bonuses! Heck, if they said they can take away our 401k's and IRAs that shouldn't be a too much of a stretch. Hmph!! But most likely, they will not and once again, the little guy will continue to get screwed. Hmph! No fair!
Those greedy exec's are unbelievable, not only are they stealing shareholder money, running the companies into the ground, and because of that thousands/millions of people are losing their jobs, but they are also crushing confidence in the US financial industry! The world invests tons of money in US companies and markets. I'm sure that situations, like former Merrill Lynch exec giving himself a multi million dollar bonus right before the fed government gave billions of dollars to BAC to save Merrill Lynch, are not giving investors much confidence. These practices, these exec's must be punished!!!! If there is no recourse for such irresponsible and blatant stealing of not only shareholder money, but also fed money, it just shows the world that the US government has no control, no power, does not protect rights of their people nor investors who give their economy money. Who then, will want to invest in the US? That's disastrous for the future US economy. They may never recover. The success of business all revolves all around trust. Trust is what makes the world of trading work. Once that's gone. Good luck!
And to think, many business people refuse to do business in China because they don't trust them. They don't trust that the Chinese government and the companies they regulate will honor and protect their rights to property/business etc... Well, guess what? It doesn't look like the US is doing all that great a job either.... Heck, look! They're even wanting to take away their own people's hard earned 401ks and IRAs!!!
