signing!
Our months of using baby sign language has finally paid off! Our little one is signing back to us! She doesn't quite have the coordination yet to do the hand signals properly, but at least she's consistently signing for " More" and "cracker". She just picked up the sign for cracker yesterday! It's amazing watching her watching us, studying us, absorbing everything. You can see the wheels in her head clicking away.
I think she learns faster if we actually move her hands into the motion for sign language. It's been months since we first started signing and now she's actually using it! Whee! We're really starting to communicate now. I already know she understands more than she can say. When I say " You're done" in japanese, she understands cause she'll stop fussing immediately. I also taught her only a few times on how to go down the stairs on her belly, and the next day, without yusuke telling her, she did it as I taught her. Ahh. This is a really fun stage to watch her.
