So my weight loss seems to have slowed a little, but I'm still close to about 1 lb a week losses. I didn't post about WW last week cos I was feeling kind of down about not having lost more, but I think I was just being silly. Will seems to think that I am replacing some fat with muscle, which may account for a slow-down in numbers on the scale. My clothes continue to fit better than ever and I feel lighter, which makes me feel like I have more energy. It's a nice cycle.
My scale which tests body fat is completely unreliable. It seems consistent with weight, but the body fat readings are just plain bad. When I first started logging body fat, there seemed like there was a slight downward trend, but after a while the readings were just all over the place. One day it would look like I'd dropped 5% body fat over night, even if I retook the reading several times to make sure my posture was good, knees and thighs not touching. Then the next day I'd be up 3.5% again. It just doesn't make sense. Will thinks it's really inaccurate too, so we started looking at some body fat calipers, and he bought some online. I am a little scared to use them, but it will be nice to finally have a reliable measurement. I wonder if I am under 30% yet.
Overall, the plan still seems to be working for me and I am happy with the way I'm eating. I messed up a little bit at a party last weekend and ate slightly more than my daily allotment plus remaining flex points for the week, but it doesn't seem to have affected me too much.
I also made a batch of awesome peanut butter oatmeal cookies on sunday night. They were sooooo tasty and delicious! The old me would have ripped through half the batch that same night, and by now there wouldn't be any left. But the new me has been good, and I have only been treating myself to one at a time. I have also given a bunch away. But there are still sooooo many left. Time to bring them to work!
