All better!

(partially a cross-post)

Right. Stomach bug GONE. Whoo. Took about a week in total, but I was able to start eating normal foods. Which was a good thing, because I went to Osaka last weekend for Veteran's concert, and got to eat kushiage. Mmmm, possibly one of my favorite things ever.

Fried things! On sticks! Fried mochi ice cream! FRIED BANANA! Omg, seriously, this has to be one of the best things EVER. EVVVEEERRR. MMMMMM. I am SO getting more when I go back to Osaka this weekend (for B.A.D.).

Had a Wellesley alum thing in Chinatown in Yokohama. Ahhh, dim sum. Good times. Made a friend, and we went out for drinks later in the week in Roppongi. Suuuper fancy, 'cause omg, Grand Hyatt, wth. Drinks were insane, but yummy. Then conveyer-belt sushi, also yummy. And Starbucks.

Had the practice new JLPT and level 4 is easy. Better be taking 3 or 2 next year. Wah.

On Thanksgiving, I went out with a friend from school to Roppongi again. Realllly nice restaurant with excellent food and service and ahhh. Nothing beats home, of course, but it was still good.

Went to Sendai again, and got to go to the onsen that time. Hadn't been in SO LONG. So I enjoyed it a lot.

Went to Tsubasa's standing live in Akasaka after work on Monday night. It was fun and all, although by the end my feet really hurt and I wanted to leave. But they wouldn't let us until we all lined up and one by one shook Tsubasa's hand. ...he's short.

Anyway.

Our English test was on Thursday, and our teacher said it should take around 15 minutes, maybe a bit less if you're good. I think it took me two minutes, and the first 30 seconds of that was writing my name and class level in kanji at the top of the page. Friday was the history test and... well. I have no idea. It was both easy and hard. Didn't take much time, but there were some things on there that were just like, I have no idea. Nor do I particularly care.

Then Osaka, but I mentioned that.

Ahhhh, so much to do.

But my new futons came today, yay! Blankets and pillows and comfy~ ♥

Have to pick up my coat from the dry cleaners tomorrow. Hopefully it will be actually clean.

So much work and studying and omg no time. Too many exams.

Must clean!

Went to an elementary school yesterday. It was super fun, although I reallllly don't get Japanese dodgeball. What's the POINT? Do not want. I stood to the side and watched. But my 'tour guides' were adorable and tried really hard to speak English, and man, I forget how much I like green tea when it's actually GOOD. It's one of those things that I'm fussy about. Give me the good stuff or don't give it to me at all. But they had the good stuff, so yay. The kids were adorable, trying super hard to be all polite and proper. The one serving came over with the tray and faced me properly and then sat seiza across from me and did that thing where he bowed his head to the floor. The other kids were giggling, but omg CUUUUUUTE.

Also, we passed these liiiitle kids on the stairs, and one of them stares and points and me and says, in ENGLISH: "You! Hair is green!" Dude, impressive! The kid was like, six or something.

Oh, got my cheap student discount Disneyland tickets today. Looking forward to that. :)

Ah, what else. Erm. Cooking more. Nothing fancy, and definitely still need to build up my stock, since I went for the sugar today only to realize that I never bought sugar since I came back. Oops.

Note to self: Tissues from the 100 yen shop cost 100 yen for a reason.

WAH. Good things, bad things, busy things, omg I want a break. I am soooo looking forward to winter vacation. I think I'll only have a day or two in which to relax, but whatever. Doing fun things with friends will be good, even if it's exhausting.

timeripple is coming! WHOOOOOO!!!
