(no subject)
Have been going to bed early and plan to continue. I'm constantly exhausted, even though I'm sleeping around 9 hours a night, which shouldn't been too little or too much. What the hell, body?
Had my midterm exam yesterday and today.
Yesterday was speaking. Normally I'm really comfortable with that, and I have no problem communicating, but I don't speak POLITELY. So I was trying really hard to speak correctly and use the grammar we've learned... so I don't know how it went.
Listening and writing tests were today. Did well on most of listening, except for the section where I totally didn't get the instructions! Didn't realize 'til we were a bit into it and then it was too late. So oh well. Writing... well. Grammar is totally my weak point and I know that. But no matter how much I study and review... it's just like in class. I UNDERSTAND the grammar. I just get confused about what to use when. We've learned something like 40 grammar points over the last month, and when I read or hear them, it's not a problem. But when I have to produce it, I can narrow things down, but then I'm stuck deciding between two or three points for which is best to use. Hopefully I did well enough that I won't have to repeat the level.
But, well, if I didn't? The good thing is that I'm doing this for ME. I don't need it for entrance into college or anything, and if the teachers tell me I should repeat, then I'll gladly repeat it, because I want to understand and be able to use everything. I don't want to rush ahead and be unprepared just for the sake of... what?
Did karaoke the other day for a short while for the first time in months. Maa, I miss doing karaoke. So much fun!
Cleaned and unpacked and was productive over the weekend, have done a bunch of studying...
Saw a Johnny's Junior when I went to lunch today. O_O
Finished redoing the website at work and went to hand my jump drive to the webmaster.
Me: Happy birthday, a little present for you!
Him: Oh, I couldn't accept that!
Both: "...LOL"
Me: 'kay, yeah, it's a joke. Here.
Him: How much did you finish?
Me: All of it?
Him: Ooh! Nice work!
(it WAS his birthday on Monday, so...)
Oh, that's right. Over the weekend I did a bunch of totally unnecessary shopping, but it was great. Got some awesome stuff, including green extensions. Ten of them streaked through. Ahhh, how I'd missed those.
