I love it when people admit I'm right

I went to see Wolverine today. And the thing is, I had seen it before (oh, leaks!) a month ago because I was going to be on Absolute Hiatus from April 30th to May 3rd. I did it to keep my sanity intact, I've been fangirling that movie since the rumors started and those were going to be FOUR AGONIZING DAYS!

Then swine flu madness came, and nothing happened. And it was done.

I heard lots of HOW DARED YOU?! from my friends when they found out, the fanboys ♥. And it got worst when I told them that it was Not That Good. I was a heretic, they all said the same thing, and I'm quoting: "How can you say that? It's Wolverine!"

And there is this friend in particular that couldn't believe a word -- until tonight. In his own words: I thought it would be different. (of course, I couldn't help myself: I'm sorry, did you just admit I was right?) Yes, you were right.

The thing is, it's not a bad movie, it's just that it's kinda disappointing. It doesn't follow the comics or the movie trilogy, it has it's moments but everything happens so fast and the way it "flows" doesn't work. The Gambit part sucks big time. And it just... no. It's funny, it's action-packed, it has some of my favorite mutants, and still.

movies, x-men
