The one about hands

My left hand hurts. I don't know how it happened but something's wrong with my wrist. And the worst is - I hadn't realized how much of a left handed I am until now.

I am what I call forced ambidexter, although that may not be the proper term. I originally was left handed (well, that's what I've been told), I used to write with my left but when I changed schools my mom told my new teacher that I was left handed and I guess she thought that meant my mom wanted me to be right handed? I don't know, the thing is that I learned to write with my right and while there was this short period when I could write with both and change hands when I wanted, I stopped using my left and now I only can write properly with my right but I've been told several times that I have a hold the pencil/pen/whatever in a strange way.

I use scissors, kitchen knives and the like with my right. I am a right handed mouse user. My only obvious clue about being left handed was when using the fork (and the spoon, sometimes) but now with my hand injured I discovered that most of the time I open bottles or grab things with my left. I didn't know that.

In conclusion, I use a specific hand for certain tasks. I can use both without problem for the rest. I am cross-dominant. And ambidexter?
