After an almost flawless drive to pumpkin lane, johnny and i spent the next two nights at "now that's class..." in Cleveland for Horriblefest. the bands were alright, nothing i got overly excited about, although i enjoyed chronic seizure and the inmates sets. we chatted with brian from the boards again for a bit. the brutal knights would have been fun too (garbage cans, fireworks, and blood were all involved, apparantly), but we opted to skip the matinee show in exchange for extra time lounging around at home after a sunny morning of chasing fires and visiting the West Side Market.
At the market, we snacked on sausage and gyros, and i bought some spices and fat couscous. We went home, and after killing zombies and a little snuggling, we forced ourselves to go to Sokolowski's polish eatery, where we crammed our colons with delicacies like kielbasa, cabbage rolls, and coconut cream pie. And, I got THE SHIRT. Mission accomplished.
Far exceeding the precedent i set on Friday night of the fest, Steve got limb-flailingly drunk on night two.
The music, this weekend, was secondary in importance to the fact that i got to hang out with my johnny and, physically, feel like part of a couple again.
After a couple of months of dreary, wintry self-doubt and sullenness, this weekend was very refreshing.
