I can't afford chef school. Or at least, i can't afford Le Cordon Bleu. There is absolutely no way i can get funding by banks or OSAP. I don't want to rely solely on the possibility of scholarships, and i don't want to start the diploma program only to be unable to finish it for 10 years due to lack of money.
Therefore, i will rely on the help of a large, enthusiastic Belgian man named Bruno. I chatted with him at his cafe here in Pickering. I will go to Chicago, and return to set up an apprenticeship-type scenario with one of his colleages. In which city, i am not yet sure - Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Niagara-on-the-lake?
That's the idea, anyway.
School is souless, but connections are precarious.
