We went to the Maryland Science Center and saw the BODY WORLDS 2 exhibit.
I liked seeing the slices and organs by themselves, but I found the plastinated body "sculptures" a bit eerie (especially the fetus/baby ones). On a lot of them the eyebrows, eyelashes and bellybutton were kept, and on the females, the nipples and bits were intact as well, while the rest of the skin was removed. We actually saw a dude checking out the lips on the ballerina body, wth.
I may be into looking at dead people, but I want them either as completely separate organs or almost totally whole, please and thank you.
Sharon got passes for most of the museum, so I played on the kiddie exhibits (I can identify musical notes and lie to others well) and convinced my sister to buy me a lobster whistle/bubble combo. When I look at it now, I kinda regret it because 1) we didn't go on the purple dragon paddle boast as planned and 2) the lobster whistle/bubble thing looks like male genitals, hahaha!
Food highlights include a delicious wrap with arugula+avocado+ranchdressing+chicken jalapeño sausage for lunch, sushi for dinner, freakishly good chocolate hazelnut
gelato, and hummus on pita/veggies.
After walking around for a while, we went to Filene's Basement and I got a few things~
If you haven't noticed it already, my camera sucks balls.
Sharon moves to CA in August and she's actually invited me to come live with her after I graduate HS.
It's a good idea because I can spend a year working and learning how to drive and maturing and stuff.
I don't exactly know my real purpose for wanting to go to colleges like SFAI or MICA or SVA. I don't feel I could get my Pharm.D, but I doubt I could ever make a good living for myself if I choose fine arts or sculpture or illustration...
bawwwwww
