Well, there is no utopia, so seeing where we're at and where we want to keep rowing is the only thing you can do. But you're always rowing upstream when you're trying to make the world a better place.

But you're quite right. If there is a utopia somewhere down the road (to change metaphors), I sure as hell don't pretend to know how or when we get there.
But I do know that the dignity that comes from being judged by your deeds and not your biology is one (of many) of the prerequisites.
