I'm Baaaaack!
No seriously. I mean it. I am going to post here at least once a day, probably more. If I can spew my guts on FB, I can at least cross post here (although actually this is more of a place for more "elaborate" {?} writing than the little update thing on FB).
What have I been up to? Well right now I am sweating like a horse. I would say "pig", but I raised [igs and never saw them sweat. Horse on the other hand...
"Horses sweat, men perspire, and women get a rosy glow" (old folk saying).
Look, here's the weather in London today(if you read this on another day it won't work). This is not normal weather for us here in The Big Smoke, and we are not used to it.
What have I been up to? Helen and I just got back from the annual Straydog Party, where this group called the "Straydogs" (see how that works?), a closely knit bunch of Tom Waits fans numbering around three hundred, get together every year in a different place and drink like fish and make music and have a blast.
This year was in The Netherlands (last year was Denver, the year before that was Sicily, the year before that was Iceland, and on), and it were fookin garjuss. Perfect weather, very heavily attended (44 instead of the usual 20), and we had a complete blast.
I'm only halfway done editing my pictures, but here they are (feel free to peruse any of the other albums on my zenfolio account).
10 days of heavy partying has taken a bit of a toll on me, including my voice. Right now I sound EXACTLY like James Gammon. Never heard of him? I am sure you've seen him. Watch this whole video (2:20 long), it's priceless. But yeah, that's me at the mo.
