No Time for Trees

May 10, 2009 13:49

 Remember when we were younger
And we heard laughter in the breeze?
Well, now we have grown older,
And we have no time for trees.
Because we have grown older
And we know the taste of pain
Soon will come the day
That we stop dancing with the rain.
The sunshine lost it's sparkle
when the children all were grown,
and when we saw the clouds
it's like the sun had never shown.
We found the rainbows ending
when we chased it to it's last,
but we found no golden treasure,
just our nightmares from the past.
Nothing's bringing back the laughter
that was once flowing in the breeze
So now, always and forever,
We have no time for trees.
