Just what I wanted to read today!

This is beautiful! You write John very good, perfectly in character, and show the reader that he loves Elizabeth without actually saying it. Sometimes in fic I do see him saying the 'L word' even before Elizabeth is ready to say it, but also I can see why he might be reluctant, and with him, words sometimes aren't necessary.
