... So, today ended on a not so great note. Between locking myself out of the car this afternoon and not finishing work related stuff in Griffin until after 6pm, I ran late in picking up Theo. I texted Ashley that we'd need to push back the exchange by like 30 minutes. She asked about the receipts for Theo's glasses she gave me last week, and I asked why there wasn't any vision coverage applied. That's when it it got surreal. (or maybe I needed to have dinner)
Ashley: Don't have vision coverage.
Me: That's a problem. Has he been added for next year?
Ashley: I don't have vision coverage.
Me: Theo is supposed to have had coverage since March. Petsmart offers it. (the glasses I'm wearing from 2 years ago were covered)
Ashley: And they don't any more. I do not have vision coverage. Are we going to argue over this too?
Me: We shouldn't have to. You agreed to cover health insurance, dental & vision. That was 8 months ago. This is why we need to sit down and talk.

Ashley: And this was a lot cheaper than what going to the doctors that the vision plan would have covered.
Me: The exam would have been free.
Ashley: Don't have dental anymore either.
... That Petsmart would stop offering vision & dental didn't make sense to me. After I left city hall, I headed back to Atlanta. Once here, I pulled out the laptop and looked up
Petsmart benefits. As I expected, there was vision & dental coverage. (page 3) I don't get why she even bothered making that up. Once I met with her to pick up Theo, I handed her a copy of the enrollment guide; my point was that she didn't have a legitimate excuse for not getting him coverage. Her response was to state that regardless of whether or not it was available, she wasn't going to get the coverage, that it wasn't worth it...
*sigh*
*wall not worth the walk to bang my head into*
... So, before I talk to my lawyer, was my expectation for Theo to be covered way off base?
