Nerdrage 2?
I've never wanted to smack someone over the internet. Well, that's not true, I have, but this time I seriously, seriously wish it were possible to open a dimensional rift, reach through it, and bitch slap someone.
While playing around on my lovely 80 holy priest, a little after finishing the Zalazane's Fall event, I thought 'Hey, I should go do some dailies!'. Go figure it made me remember why I don't do the daily random anymore, besides that I don't need the frost emblems.
I queue for my random, go about questing in the meantime... when the random pops, I go in, and it's Nexus! Good, nice and easy... we pull the first trash mob, kill it... and the server decides to tell me 'Instance Restart in 15:00!'. What the fuck. Okay, fine, whatever... except the tank says 'O we can do it, keep going'. Yeah... it's about then that I notice the mage is naked. I figure it's just a rather unfortunate occurrence of the naked glitch/bug, so I don't say anything... just as we're about to pull the first boss, the mage says 'o, putting on gear in a shec... hic!' Oh you're kidding. You went through the first five minutes of the instance completely naked and with your toon drunk? I know it's brewfest, but COME ON.
Nevertheless, we get through a good chunk of the instance and we're on the third boss or so when the timer runs out, instance is shut down, we're all kicked off and the group disbanded. Oh well, not a huge loss, right? Even if I've been warped back to Dalaran.
The instance server is down for about half an hour, so I go about questing, do a couple daily quests... then try once again to queue for my random. This time, it's Halls of Stone! Not a problem, another nice, easy instance. The tank makes the first pull... and promptly drops group, leaving the rest of us to scurry around trying to kill everything. Annoying, but not the first time that's ever happened... we requeue, wait for about five minutes, meanwhile the Boomkin is having a shit fit. Obviously, it's the first time they've ever had an asshole tank pull and disappear. So the boomkin drops, and the DK who had previously been DPS offers to tank. I told him to go ahead, because who knew when we'd get a new tank... and as soon as he switches to a tank spec, we get a new tank. Go figure!
But this, was not to be. The new pally tank waits about five seconds before saying 'Soz :(' and drops group. I clearly remember saying 'Are you kidding me with this? Jeez...' in party chat before we requeued again, this time the DK queues as tank so we only need two DPS slots. We pick up a rogue and a mage, and press on, and all is fairly well... until the Brann Bronzebeard escort event. The tank runs into the room and stands behind Brann until Phase 2, before realizing that the mobs attacking us are coming in from behind. Hello, McFly!
After finishing the escort event and killing the final boss, we're doing loot rolls and whatnot and the tank says 'Can I need that chestpiece?' We tell him he can, meanwhile I'm thinking 'And please learn the fights before you offer to tank next time!' Though the person I want to bitchslap is actually both tanks we originally had.
Why in the hell do you queue if you're just going to drop the group immediately when you get in? What, Halls of Stone isn't good enough for you or something? I make exceptions for Oculus (as that's a pretty annoying and needlessly complicated instance) and Culling of Stratholme (long, boring, and unless you need the drake, everything in it is junk). But Halls of Stone? It's quick, it's simple, it's like cheating to get frost emblems!
Honestly... sometimes, e-slap needs to exist.
