Link-fest

Totally random stuff...

New pics! Including Natalia's first time making cupcakes! Say it with me...awwwwwww.

Annoying politicians at home Grrrrr.

Guilt-fest for all bottled water drinkers. Hey, he says I'm allowed. And also raises some good points. Original article is in the NYTimes, but you have to pay, so here's a reprint.

HIV=WMD. This website (www.thebody.com) is probably the best on-line HIV resource I've found.

I'm afraid of what else might be in this energy bill, but at least this is a awesome idea. I love daylight savings. Such a night person.

And, last but not least, one of my deep-seated fears about my possible future. If I ever settle in one place, I'm really gonna have to fight my urge to pick up stray kittens. Bob Barker should really make a public service trip to Ecuador - a lot of folks I've talked to are horrified at the idea of spaying or neutering animals. Scrawny little kittens wandering around are kind of a fact of life.

Hmmm, that's about all for the randomness. Had cupcakes with Natalia today - so much fun. And had a great day with my other goddaughter, Andrea, on Saturday - we went to see the new Herbie movie. The originals started my still-enduring affection for Volkswagen bugs (Spanish tidbit of the day - pichirilo means punchbuggy in spanish) and it was very cute to see her see it for the first time. She giggled throughout the film, which I think makes it a success.

Other than that, spending a lot of time dealing with HIV stuff, taking care of paperwork to make my return here a little smoother, and generally tying up loose ends. I hope in 8 days I feel more ready to leave than I am right now.
