Harry Potter triggers a memory

I finished reading Year Two today, and the chapter in the pipes sprung a memory from the theater experience...

Mel and I went to see this at Loews -- spoiled brats that we were, we traditionally went to the VIP section, and preceded any movie with dinner at P.F. Chang's or Dave & Busters. What this usually meant was that we were slightly sauced almost every time we saw a movie at Loews. I had had a rough week at work, so when we were in the theater, at some point, the combination of Guinness, leather seats, popcorn, and more Guinness caused me to fall asleep at a key point in the movie. When I woke up, five minutes later, Harry, Hermione, and Gilderoy were in the pipe. By the way, I'm bad with names. So this conversation happened:

Me: Boo Boo [I know, but that's how we talked], what's happening?

Melissa: Shh, Bear, they're in the chamber, going after the baselisk.

Me: OK, but why is Kenneth Branagh with them?

Melissa: I think he's a good Gilderoy -- they cast him just fine. I think this movie needed more star power after the casting in the first one.

Me: Yeah, he seems to know his role, but why is he in this scene?

Melissa: Actually, it's this way in the book -- they're sticking to it well!

Me: ...I'm going to kill you.
