What the hell.

I heard about this on the news and didn't think much of it. But apparently the 19 year old kid who died was Lee Dong Gun's younger brother. Didn't know he was even in Sydney.

Man, all the racist comments came out. But I'm thinking that this isn't racially motivated, but rather more...well, just that the two guys were in a gang and all

Lee Dong Gun's a fairly popular actor, and, well. Korean pop culture's pretty popular, and unfortunately there are a fair few elitists because of this ("Korea's the best asian country, you Jap/Chinese/everyone else wanna be Korean, etc."). It's NOT fun to be around >_> So some people are saying those kids killed his brother because they were jealous and so on.

So basically, there are people kicking a fuss about Chinese wannabes, insults, and so on. Chinese people are responding with the "two people don't represent a race!" and "6th century BC you guys WERE Chinese!" "Who wants to be Korean!?" etc.

You probably won't see it openly, but there's a fair bit of tension at the moment D=
