What to tell Dad?
More archives. Fun and fluffy. Again, written around the time of Someone to Watch Over Me, and therefore completely AU by now.
The Cavil cyclons have come back into the picture, as we always knew they had to. Lee is on Galactica when they attack, and Kara is on duty. She pulls some crazy Starbuck (™) stunt, as she is wont to do. Papa and Lee, of course, freak out and meet her on deck when she lands.
Lee engulfed Kara in a desperate hug the instant after she’d jumped out of her viper. When he finally backed up a little it was only enough to bring his mouth to hers. Bill raised an eyebrow, but kept silent until they’d seperated. “Follow me, you two.”
Lee and Kara jumped a bit and then fell self-consciously into step behind him.
Lee looked nervously at Kara. “What are we going to tell him?”
“Dunno… I’d kind of planned on picking a date before announcing the wedding,” she whispered back.
Lee missed a step. “I kinda figured we’d get engaged before dropping that one…? Where the frak did that come from?”
“I’ll handle it, don’t worry.”
“I think that’s what’s worrying me…”
Kara grinned mischievously as she reached over and pinched Lee’s cheek. “You’re so cute when you worry.”
Lee swallowed and bit back his next thought as he walked past his father, into the admiral’s quarters.
