Man, when I get on an organizational rampage, I REALLY get on an organizational rampage! All it took was putting my coffee maker in the kitchen. That's all it took for me to spend an hour reorganizing the kitchen. I just stood there thinking, "Where can I put this without it being in the way?" because I had so much out--like my smoothie maker, my two juicers, the toaster, and the quesadilla maker.
Sooooooo, I started out rearranging some of those appliances to accommodate the coffee maker. I finally found the perfect place for everything without it being too crowded. But the next question was, where do I put the coffee making products? I need to store the grinds, a container of sugar, the splenda, and the filters. The most logical place would be above the coffee maker, but that cupboard was full as were every other cupboard in the kitchen. So what did I do? I rearranged a ton of cupboards so that everything made sense. Cuz we basically had 'junk cupboards." There were at least three cupboards filled with the most random objects--a food processor with snacks and drink bottles or a George Forman with broken glasses, one of those margarita salt thingies, and some salt & pepper shakers. So random. So I rearranged everything and was almost satisifed.
But theeeeennnnnnn I thought about the freezer, which was in COMPLETE chaos. I tried to organize it once...I put all of Amanda's frozen meats in a gallon ziplock bag, all of her vegetables and my bags of fruit and tomato sauce in one huge plastic bag...and then I just stacked everything else as best I could. It was still insanity and nobody was using the stuff in the huge plastic bags because it just seemed too annoying (at least for me it felt that way). So I never bothered going into it or digging through the freezer to get certain things. WELL, I made it mucho better this time! It's still not the best that it could be, but it's pretty fucking neat. I put all my frozen fruit into stackable tupperware containers, all of Amanda's frozen veggies in the lettuce bowl, stacked all the boxes of food (such as shrimp and chicken cordon bleu), put the popsicles on the door along with the soy meats, and then placed everything else where it fit well--and I stacked everything and lay everything in the most logical spots :) At least, the most logical spots in my mind haha.
So yeah...I went crazy organizing the kitchen. I still want to fix up the pantry because I'm dissatisfied with the lower shelves, but that can wait a while. Or at least until tomorrow haha.
I still have to do my homework, study for two tests, and watch the OC before I go to bed. But it looks like everything will have to wait until after the OC, which is NOW. Ciao!!! :)
Oh ps...Flash flood warning? hmmmmmmmmmm...I wouldn't mind if that meant no class ;) Cuz I got nowhere to be tomorrow! Too bad it won't happen :-\
