It's like y2k for gas! Holy shit and a half! I'm on my way home and my dad calls to tell me to fill up my tank tonight because the news said there's a gas shortage and the prices are going to skyrocket tomorrow. So I hit the gas station and there are two guys there talking about what they've heard considering gas...Then a third guy shows up. So the three of them are discussing things and I'm listening in (obviously too because one guy kept looking at me and then he finally laughed and asked if I was listening--so then I was in on it!). SO...Apparently prices are estimated to go up by thirty fucking cents tomorrow (according to the ten o'clock news). AND Guy #3 said he has a friend who owns a gas station and his friend closed down the station TODAY because he's already out of gas...One of the guys heard that there won't be any gas left by this weekend. This is so Y2k! And I don't know whether or not to believe it! But I did spend 35.77 on gas tonight JUST IN CASE and because the prices aren't going to radically DROP so it's not like I'm losing money over it. I'd be spending that sooner or later. My oh my...
