Hmm, perhaps, but it doesn't sound very exciting.

"Hi, this multi-million dollar property portfolio is my life's work" falls, I think, somewhere between "my life's work is the subconscious regulation of my pulse" and "my life's work is to make a potato stamp of the complete works of Shakespeare".
