You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes. Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal!
Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One word answers seldom help anyone out :)
1. First Name: Dante
2. Age: 37
3. Location: Omaha, Nebraska
4. Occupation: Elementary School Teacher (According to the IRS, I'm also a writer because I have to fill out the C form for the books I've written and the very few that I've sold. Since I spend more money marketing my books than I make selling them, I usually end up with a small loss, which means lower taxes overall. It's the one time being a bad writer helps.)
5. Partner: wife = Sara, since 2001.
6. Kids: Nope
7. Brothers/Sisters: 1 deceased older sister. 2 half sisters, 1 half brother. 2 step sisters and corresponding step brothers-in-law. 1 sister in law and brother in law.
8. Pets: 2 dogs, Dixie and Stella. Although I often mention my late-dog Dollie and Cookie and our late - dog niece Willow.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
1) Impatiently waiting for Wrockstock in Potosi, Missouri. Which is related to the fact that I'm an obsessed Harry Potter/Wizard Rock fan.
2) Summer vacation means house projects. Which is related to the fact that my house turns 100 in 2010.
3) The next MRI of my brain in April. Which is related to the fact that I'm a 2 year brain tumor survivor.
10. University: I got my BA at The Evergreen State College in 1995 and my Masters in Teaching there in 1998.
11. Parents: Were divorced in 1979-ish. Father moved to the Philippines thereafter and have had little contact with him since then. Mother remarried in 1981 and she and my step-father are still together and live a quiet retired life in the desert in Texas. My step-father is very much my father figure.
12. Close Friends: My closest friends all live far far away because after awhile everyone leaves Olympia, WA. We all went in different directions.
