Hmm, I wonder if it's raining back home...

[Locked to Ironhide // 69% Unhackable]

Ironhide, if you're available, would you care to meet me on deck 13?

[A nice, wide open field of flowers. No chance for anyone sneaking up or eavesdropping.]

#ironhide, checking the clouds for storms, filtered, you can't take the sky from this pirate, take you down any way i can, captain of a motley crew

I wish it would rain here. It has been a long time since I have seen it rain.

[There is very real surprise in Phoenix's voice.]

No rain at all? Even on the upper deck?

None at all! We have had extremely good weather since I got here. It snowed for a bit in December, but that is it.

It is a bit odd, considering we are out at sea.

I was here for the snow, and it was inside the ship, so that hardly counts. That doesn't make any sense. How can there be no change in the weather outside? And if Redd is the reason, why would anyone want it that way? I'm as grateful as the next pilot for fair weather and the like, but rain is appreciated too.

I suppose asking questions like that is just as useless as asking how the Captain brought us here in the first place.

Very likely.

[Which only makes it even more irritating.

He doesn't want to be irritated right now, though. Not while he's talking to Mimmi. Time to change the subject. He clears his throat.]

So.

Hallo. Wie gat innen?

[His accent is off, his pronunciation is wrong, and who knows what happened to the grammar? Hello, Mimmi. How are you? Are your ears offended yet?]

[Well, she understood hello, at least. But Mimmi spends at least a minute trying to understand what the heck he just said, because... it made absolutely no sense. At all.

At least he's trying?]

...What?

[Phoenix grimaces. Obviously, his attempt at German failed.]

Ah, I asked how you are doing, Miss Mimmi, though from your reaction, it sounds as though that didn't come across.

I don't have the book of translation at the moment. What did I get wrong?

Well, um... everything?

[It just sounded like gibberish to her, really]

The correct way to say it is "Wie geht es Ihnen?"

[He listens closely when Mimmi speaks, intently following how she says those words.]

Wie get es... Ihnnen?

Ja! That is very close!

Mmm. It is easier when I am able to hear how it is pronounced. That is one thing the book most definitely lacks.

It is. If you ever think you need help on anything else, you are very welcome to ask me.

You are very generous, Miss Mimmi. Thank you. I appreciate the offer.

You are very welcome. It would not be good if I simply let you fend for yourself.

Indeed, or I would continue to offend your ears and never be any the wiser.
