[Phoenix is waiting for him, standing in plain view, not too close to the entrance, but not too far from it, either. He's currently looking up at the sky, enjoying the illusion, or whatever it is. It's good to be out in the open, even if it isn't real.

He turns when he hears Ironhide's approach and-

In the name of the Makers, since when were cars able to get off deck 20?!]

[The truck is nowhere near as large as it should be. More like a Golf Cart of Death than an actual truck. Nevertheless, it makes good time across the field before pulling to a halt in front of Phoenix.

And, without ceremony, save for the grind and spark of gears, the truck stands up. Panels fold and flip away, parts swing upward and compact until it's no longer a truck.

[Phoenix's arms drop to his sides and he takes a startled step back.]

Precursors, what-

[Sorry, Ironhide. Give him a moment. He's never seen a Transformer transform.]

[Ironhide, for his part, simply stares. He's forgotten who has and who hasn't seen him do that by now.]

Yeah? What is it? You glitching or something?

[Phoenix gestures. Vaguely. In Ironhide's general direction. His movements are still a little stiff with surprise.]

No, I'm not- My apologies, I've simply never seen you... transform like that.

[Though he can't say that Ironhide didn't warn him. Somehow, though, it hadn't prepared him at all.]

[He perks up a little, practically preening. It's nice when people are impressed.]

Then you have a right to be so startled. It would be more impressive... had I my weapon systems.

[He rolls his shoulders.]

But I doubt you wished to speak of my transformations.

Actually... That is related to what I wished to discuss.

[Right, time to focus on the matter at hand. Phoenix pushes his amazement aside. Maybe some other time he'll ask to see Ironhide do that again.]

I'm in the process of putting together a plan for how to deal with Ganondorf. Before I can do that, though, I need to know the capabilities of the people who I am working with. What sort of assistance can you provide?

[He has an idea, but he'd like to know if there's anything else Ironhide can do.]

[He snorts.]

[And then he's quiet a moment, processing information, weighing his capabilities against an unknown... this would be so much easier if he had his cannons.]

I am a weapons master by function--heavy combat capable. My armor is the strongest among all Autobots. I have been waging war for millennia. Hand-to-hand combat, as well as ranged.

[He doesn't sound boastful, just relaying facts. He pauses, and lightly touches the hole in his chest armor.]

I am also damaged already. Armor breach, hip joint is misaligned. But... than again, so is our opponent.

[One of Phoenix's ears flicks back at Ironhide's comment. Mild annoyance, though Ironhide might not catch it if he's not used to reading the body language of someone from Phoenix's race.]

There were... distractions, as well as several things I needed to investigate. I expect to be able to take action soon.

[He pauses, then blinks, straightening up with interest.]

Ganondorf is already injured?

[He nods, and leaves it at that. No sense in pressing the issue. Not really.]

Yeah. Something like that.

[He indicates his chest again, running his hand vertically down it.]

Some kind of glowing... gash. Here. Not sure what it is, exactly. But it looks like an injury.

[Phoenix draws in a breath. This is an unexpected, but a potentially useful piece of information - extremely so, if it really means what he thinks it does.]

Possibly a weakness, then.

[His mind is racing, reorganizing information and plans in light of this new fact.]

Ironhide, If you were able to get a hold on the man, how long do you think you could hold him?

Probably is.

[He pauses, thinking.]

I do not know his strength. I am stronger than any organic I have come across, by virtue of mechanics. A while, I think.

Excellent. Even if you can hold him for only a few moments, that will still provide an opportunity. But first, you must get close enough to him to latch on...

Hnn. A distraction, then. I imagine I could play that part. Jak may also be able to help. In fact...

[Light eco. Light eco is the one thing he has any sort of access to that is effective against Ganon at all. Defensively, though.

But could it have an offensive use? One that takes advantage of Ganondorf's weakness?]

Hmm. I'll need to ask him another question before we can act - and I may want to bring another man in, depending on his answer.

[Razer had mentioned that Ganondorf wanted to break his legs. Perhaps the man could be persuaded to help.]

Is there anything else I should know?

[He straightens up, rolling his shoulders.]

[Phoenix nods once, both in acknowledgment and respect. He will take Ironhide for his word, trusting him to assess his own abilities correctly.]
