[The comm clicks on, but while it's attached to Phoenix's user ID, the voice is most decidedly feminine. The accent is still the same, though, distinctly Aeropan to those familiar with it.

The tone is also somewhat irritated, the sound of someone suffering from a developing headache.]I don't suppose there's any chance that the last two days were ( Read more... )

[Maia...er, Maël smirks as he hears that voice attached to Phoenix's User I.D. Oh, this was too funny. He doesn't say anything - he just makes his way over to Sergei's in search of Phoenix. It isn't long before he catches sight of her, even with a woman's body, she isn't that hard to miss.]

I must admit, I'm rather shocked. This look suits you much better than the other one. [Not entirely true. Phoenix is attractive as either sex, but that isn't going to stop Maël from having his fun.]

[Phoenix blinks and turns to look at the unfamiliar man. Perhaps it's the lighting, or perhaps it's the rum, but something seems... slightly off. She shakes her head, then smiles wryly.]

You won't get any disagreement from me. I much prefer having my normal gender and age.

[She gestures vaguely with the hand that's holding her glass.]

Forgive me, but I don't recall making your acquaintance. You are?

sounds good to meeeee solittleeffort September 6 2010, 21:01:24 UTC
Normal? [He shakes his head and sits down next to Phoenix. Seems this one can't quite recall who she normally is - how droll.]

Ma...[Does she remember who Maia is? If her memories are normal save for her normal gender and sex, then she probably did. He'll play around a little bit and see if she catches on.] Maël.

[Phoenix smiles and holds out her free hand.]

Phoenix.

[And "Mael" gets another look, this one somewhat more thorough. Despite whatever it is that's nagging in the back of Phoenix's mind, the other elf is fairly attractive.]

I take it you're a recent arrival?

[Maël smirks as he shakes Phoenix's outstretched hand. Can she really not recognize him, or at least notice the effects the Dark Eco has on his body? Internally, he reminds himself not to laugh.]

Just a little over two weeks.

[The lighting isn't the best in this particular booth, and Phoenix's mind is already pleasantly buzzed with alcohol. No, there's no recognition - only a vague feeling like she's skipped something over.

Her smile broadens and her hand lingers.]

Well, normally I would offer my condolences, but...

It is a pleasure to meet you.

[Maël rolls his eyes - she's definitely hammered. To be expected, what with her being in the bar to begin with, but being with Phoenix just wasn't as fun when she wasn't sober and trying her damnedest to convince Maël that Dark Eco was horrible. Oh well. This could still be interesting, since it seems that Phoenix is still intent of flirting with him.]

The pleasure is all mine, I assure you.

[Phoenix leans forward, propping herself up on an arm.]

So, tell me about yourself, Mael. What do you do when you're not on this ship?

[Maël smiles and bites his lower lip - mainly to keep himself from laughing. If Phoenix was this affectionate when she was drunk, he'd have to remind himself to be around more often. It serves for good comedic relief, to be sure.]

I help my brother with his research, mostly. And yourself?

I command, or commanded, a... freelance airship out on the Brink. My first love will always be piloting, though.

[She takes a careless swallow from her glass, still smiling, still meeting Mael's eyes.]

I'm very good with aerial acrobatics.

Interesting.

[Not really, and there's nothing more that needs to be added to that statement.]

Nothing wrong with a bit of flexibility. [A truth, but Maël is just playing along and debating whether or not it would be too soon to reveal who he is, yet. Although it would certainly be amusing to start floating about now that Phoenix has mentioned aerial acrobatics, but he'll refrain for now.]

Mmm. I agree.

[She allows her gaze to travel lower.]

What about you? Does your research allow you to keep yourself in shape?

[It seems Phoenix is still keen ogling Maël no matter what sex he is. When Phoenix goes back to normal, she will never hear the end of it.]

The research itself can be a bit trying, but the results are well worth it. Although, I mostly have to keep myself in shape so that I can take care of any...interferences that we may encounter along the way.

[Phoenix lifts her eyes again, her smile warm, and her voice is laced with suggestion.]

Wouldn't it be easier to keep in shape if you had a... partner? Someone to test your... flexibility with?

I facepalm'd irl. I love you, Phoenix. <3 solittleeffort September 6 2010, 22:22:47 UTC
[This is the second time Phoenix has suggested they sleep together in...a little over a week? Maybe Maël will have to start keeping a tally - the thought gets a laugh out of him, although he quickly looks back at Phoenix. He's smirking.]

Are you sure you're sober enough to even try such a thing?

Phoenix needs to stop getting drunk. :3 ecopiracy September 6 2010, 22:31:44 UTC
[She chuckles and pointedly takes another drink.]

Do you want to find out?

[She doesn't wait for an answer before setting her glass down and rising to her feet. She manages to stand there steadily enough, even when she extends her hand.]

I think you'd be surprised what I can do, Mael.
