[Phoenix woke up to find himself chained to his bed. No memory of it happening, no one else present, nothing to explain how or why this just happened. The next hour was filled with more swearing than the deck of the Phantom Blade when a delay in shore leave was announced as Phoenix tried everything he could to break or picklock the cuffs that bound

Not exactly. Unfortunately, I am not certain if you will even be able to help. Can you come to my room and check to see if the door is locked?
Reply
Ah, of course I can. Just a moment, yes?
[It'll take her a second to get there, she was in the library when her comm decided to start making noise.]

Despite his chagrin about the situation in general, he'll still manage a smile for Anna.]
Well, that's lucky. I'm not certain what I would have done if the door had been locked for you.

She had not...expected him to be in this state. Her hands fly to her face and she stares very pointedly at the ground, face coloring.]
I...I am sorry...I should...probably go-

Phoenix's eyes widen, and he makes a hasty, abortive movement with his free hand.]
No! No, please. I do still need your help.
Reply
He's really very attractive. Ahem.
She swallows, and toes the ground with her the toe of her boot.]
Of course. Anything.

Thank you.
There are two things I need help with. The handcuffs, for one, and something to eat and drink.
I don't suppose you know how to pick locks, or can obtain a set of bolt cutters?
Reply
[She shuffles her feet and turns even redder.]
I can...probably pick it, yes? [It if's 'pickable'. Anna spent some time on the streets. That included breaking into stores and sometimes peoples homes in order to eat.]
I will...try to free you first.
[...Which is going to be awkward.]
Reply
...but actually, it might not be so bad. Phoenix does enjoy Anna's close presence, after all.
He offers his hand - well, as much as it can be offered. It can really only make it a few inches away from the post.]
Thank you. I would appreciate that.

[She swallows and nods, closing the remaining gap and resting her hip against the side of the bed so she can lean over and examine it. Hm. She's going to need something small to slip in there and attempt to work it free. She reaches into her hair, pulling out one of the pins holding it. That ought to be small enough. Tucking her hair behind her ear, she leans over to work.]

That isn't to say that his tone of voice isn't any less serious when he speaks to her, though.]
Any luck?
[Unfortunately, she won't be able to pick the lock on these cuffs.]
Reply
Not...yet...
[The soft noise becomes an irritated growl when the hairpin breaks in the lock.]
You might be...stuck, I am afraid.

It will have to be bolt cutters, then. Or perhaps I can ask Ironhide to help. If anyone can break something, I would lay my orbs on him.
[Turning slightly to face her better, he brings his free hand up to rest on her arm.]
Thank you. For trying.

I am quite certain that if I cannot free you, then he can. Of course...
[She looks around.]
It is hard to say what kind of property damage he will inflict. [Anna likes Ironhide, he just scares her sometimes.]
Of course, Phoenix. I would do anything for you.
[...Huh? She hadn't meant to say something like that.]
Reply
That is kind of you to say.
[Something occurs to him as he touches her arm.]
How have your wounds been healing?
