She herself was blonde, her hair curly and tied back in a complicated knot that left some of her hair loose to fall about her shoulders. In sharp contrast to Quatre's faded and ratty clothing, she wore a dress fashioned in Victorian style; it was pale peach in colour and low-cut in the front, though not so low-cut as to be too terribly revealing. Around her neck was a locket, about the size of a half-dollar, fashioned in silver and chased with gold, a forget-me-not engraved upon the front casing

What a gentleman he was, and so refined! She had feared that she should not find anyone here who would act in a manner she was accustomed to - and indeed, some of the people she had seen confirmed her suspicions. It was a great relief to be in Quatre's company. "I am pleased to meet you as well, Mister Winner," she murmured.

"Someplace warmer would be delightful," she added. True, she had her shawl about her shoulders, but it was hardly any protection at all against the chilly spring air.
