Orihime sighed as she looked down at the device in her hand. She was getting rather cold and she still didn't know where in the compound she was. Looking around, she stood under a tree, looking up at the snow covered branches. She wore the robes of a student shinigami, which were simiiar to the full shinigami, but just a different color. She also carried a katana-like sword tied to her belt. It was her zanpakuto, but it was still nameless. It limited her power, but she didn't care yet. She was still a student and would be able to find out its name soon. She wondered if anyone would find her, but she wasn't going to hold her breath.
Uryuu left the Mui building, wrapped somewhat awkwardly in a blanket. He had yet to ask for a coat or the material to make his own coat from the computer yet, he'd be busy attempting (and failing) to avoid the arrancar. With the blanket around his shoulders like a makeshift cloak the Quincy shuffled out into the cold and headed into the commons not sure what he was doing or why he'd left the safety of his room. He paused when he thought he saw a familiar person by a tree in the gardens. He could have sworn it was Inoue, but he wanted to get closer, just to be sure.
Saga, of course, had a coat. He made sure to dress warmly before going outside. Why? Because likely someone would do something to make him not move for a while. So he was nice and warm. He was also currently in a tree, looking at those who passed by. He was bored and decided to find a new victim. After all, with so many pretty people, he had to be sure they could handle him. And today, he had a true find! Long, silky orange hair. Bright eyes. And a chest he hadn't seen in ages and it looked like they were natural! What wasn't good about that? As soon as the girl came close to the tree he jumped down out of the batches, towards her to, basically, push her to the ground. It was too cold to do his usual greeting.
Orihime let out a surprised squeak when she was suddenly taken to the ground. She wasn't expecting to be attacked, so she didn't have her guard up at all. After regaining her senses, she pushed Saga off of her and stood back up, dusting off the snow. "Just who are you?" She asked, one hand going to her zanpakuto. She didn't draw the sword, just rested a hand on the hilt. She wasn't sure if Saga was an enemy or not, but considering she didn't know anything about anyone in this place, she wasn't going to take her chances. Of course, if he really had wanted to kill her, he could have when he first jumped her.
The Quincy was only a short distance away when he saw a boy leap out towards Inoue. He gasped and broke into a sprint towards his friend. "Hey you! Get away from Inoue-san!" he attempted to summon his bow but when he did the cuff on his wrist gave him a nasty shock. Uryuu winced as he arrived at the girl's side, slightly breathless. He wasn't sure how much of a help he could be without his bow but he was certainly willing to do his best to help Orihime however he could. She may not have been the girl he knew, but she was still under attack."Are you alright Inoue-san?" he asked.
Oooo, she was soft, yet firm at the same time! This was a good one. Saga laughed, sitting up in the snow, grinning what could be taken as insanity. "Now, now, my Princess of Death." Keiji said, having recognized her from the icon. "Did you forget your Sagatchi so soon?"
Princess of Death? Sagatchi...now she remembered who he was. "I'm sorry. You surprised me." She then looked at Uryuu. "I am fine Ishida-san." She said with a small smile. She then looked back at Saga, blinking for a moment. She didn't like the look of the grin, but she would deal with it. After all, she had her zanpakuto and she knew martial arts, so she could fight.
Uryuu didn't relax at Orihime's assurance that she was fine. He didn't know who the boy was but if the look on his face was any sign of his sanity then things didn't look good. He looked at the boy who called himself Sagatchi and scowled. Just who did he think he was? "What do you want?" he spat the question at Keiji.
Keiji laughed. "I surprise everyone! It's no fun to go up to someone and just say hi!" He declared. He looked at Uryuu. "Ah! You! I have seen you from a distance, but I lack information yet." He said and paused. Keiji stared at Uryuu's hands intently before pushing himself to his feet and zooming forward to grab them, studying them intently. "Yes, yes...." He murmured. Keiji looked up at Uryuu, eyes blazing with determination. "YOU! You are a talented sewer, aren't you? Deft fingers. Long and agile. And I bet several near invisible needle scars under the gloves, correct? You must work for me along with Orihime-chan!" He declared.
"Wait a minute! Work for you? I don't even know what you do. And I can't. I have to get back to my lessons!" Orihime was a bit creeped out by Saga's examination of Uryuu's hands, but she did vaguely remember that he was a member of the home handicrafts club back when she was alive and the two of them were classmates. She hated to ask, but she did. "Just what am I supposed to do for you if I decide to take your offer?"
Uryuu blinked at Kanji’s declaration (and correct asumption) of his talents, just by looking at his hands. "Uh, yes I do sew..." The Quincy wasn't sure what work this seemingly insane boy could have for him to do and although he was obviously unstable, Uryuu wasn't so sure that this boy was a threat anymore. "I won't work for you unless I know what I'm doing though...this isn't anything illegal or harmful is it?"
"Illegal? I AM OFFENDED! All publicized work is perfectly legal!" Keiji said with a dismissive wave. He pulled a piece of paper out and shoved it into Uryuu's hands. It was a sketch of a rather fashionable looking outfit for winter. "You will sew that for me." Keiji said, his tone saying he wouldn't accept a no. "That, or you will be like Orihime-chan, and be a model for me! You're a cute geek type and lord knows that's a rarity, but so are good sewers.” Keiji looked at Orihime and beamed. "And Orihime-hime will be a beautiful model! She has the body, the face, the hair, and best of all, natural genetics for it!" He declared.
Orihime blushed, blinking at Saga. "Model? Me?" She shook her head. "There have got to be others who would be better." She then looked to Uryuu and the sketch that he had been given and remembered that he was rather good at sewing. She wondered if he would really do what Saga said, or just brush him off and walk away.
Uryuu blinked down at the paper the boy had shoved into his hands. It was covered in intricate plans and sketches for what looked like an outfit of some kind. He couldn't believe his eyes. He'd never seen something so thought out, so seemingly flawless. "This is amazing." he breathed bringing the "blueprints" closer to his face.
"No way!" Keiji said to Orihime. "You're a beauty! And natural at that! I won't take no for an answer." He declared. Keiji looked at Uryuu and grinned. "But of course they are! Saga Keiji does not make mediocre work! It is either amazing or it did not come from me!"
"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt." Orihime said with a faint smile as she looked at Saga. She figured if she modeled for him she would be left alone after a while. "What do you think, Ishida-san?" She asked, looking over at Uryuu before she realized that he was too busy staring at the drawing with fascination.
The bespectacled boy heard his name called but only vaguely answered, "Yes, yes." he muttered for his answer. Uryuu chewed his bottom lip thoughtfully for a moment after going over Keiji's plans again. "Why haven't you put this together for yourself yet?" he asked before giving his answer.
Keiji beamed at Orihime. "WONDERFUL~! We'll have to find you a good test outfit." He said and looked at Uryuu. "Because I was precisely one hundred and forty seven outfits laid out that I am working on. That was one of the ones I happened to carry and haven't started cutting out the fabric and everything." Keiji answered.
"Heh..." She smiled nervously as Keiji beamed at her. "Just what did you have in mind?" She asked, just wondering what he might get her to wear. She didn't have any other clothes with her, but she figured that Keiji would have more, considering what he just said about having over one hundred more outfits.
"On-One hundred forty seven!?" Uryuu echoed amazed, shakily pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. He had a hard time imagining what kind of money it took to make that many clothes. If Uryuu could gather anything about what the other 147 looked like based on the sketch he held in his hand, they were all unique and intricate. Taking another quick look over Keiji's master plans Uryuu made up his mind. "Alright I'll do it. Will I need to requisition the supplies or will you provide them for me?"
Keiji looked Orihime up and down. "Hmm....I wanna try some punk clothes on you. Then maybe some sweet and innocent looks. That should tell me what you would be best in." He decided. Keiji looked at Uryuu. "Hm, that depends. You can order any fabric you desire. Are you good at choosing fabric by just the name?"
Punk? She shrugged, thinking that the more innocent ones would work better. "It's your choice Sagatchi." She said with a smile as she stood with her hands behind her back. "May I suggest something? What about some traditional Japanese Kimonos as well?" She had a fondness for wearing simple kimonos to sleep in and she figured that the traditional look would be nice.
Uryuu looked over at Orihime, thinking that she could work the punk look, but it seemed her style would lean towards the more traditional or innocent look. The Quincy shook his head slightly in an at attempt to bring his thoughts back to the design pattern in his hands and away from dressing Orihime up. "I'm familiar enough with fabrics that I can make good choices with just the name." he addressed Keiji, vaguely offended.
“Oh, of course! If nothing else, I'll need to make several of them to hand out during festival times!" Keiji said with a nod. Keiji looked at Uryuu. "There is no need to be upset. Sometimes one can sew, but fail at fabric choice." He said.
Orihime smiled at both of them. "Well, then why don't we all get started?" She asked. She was probably going to regret those words but right now it seemed like the three of them would be getting along well which would make things rather interesting, considering Orihime knew absolutely NOTHING about Saga, but it didn't seem to bother her right now.
Uryuu couldn't argue that he had other plans at the moment or any other classic excuse but something told him that getting started right away might not be so good. At any rate he figured it would be best if he just smiled and went along for the time being. Besides, he was hoping to start on a project that would take his mind off of things like the arrancar, or Econtra in general.
Keiji beamed. "WONDERFUL!" He said and grabbed both their hands and started to run, dragging them along. "Then we should get Orihime-chan into some outfits and Uryuu-chan can pin them so they suit her build better while we take a look!"
Orihime looked over at Uryuu as she was pulled along, giving the Quincy a sheepish smile that clearly said, 'Sorry I dragged you into this.' before looking back at Saga. She really had no idea what she was getting herself into, but at least he wasn't trying to kill her.
Uryuu wasn't sure what to be more shocked over; the fact that he was being dragged away by Keiji or that the boy had already decided they were close enough to call him "Uryuu-chan." All the same this was certainly better than getting his ass handed to him by two arrancar.
Keiji dragged them to his room, opening up the door before grabbing the hand he let go to do so to drag them into the living room. "Wait here! I'll get the outfits!" He said and disappeared into a room.
"Ok..." Orihime said as she sat down on the couch, giving Uryuu another sheepish smile. "I guess this could be interesting. At least no one's trying to hurt us." She said, looking in the direction that Keiji went in. She then untied the Zanpakuto from her belt and leaned it against the couch. It should be safe there for now.
Uryuu didn't sit down. He folded his arms across his chest waiting, still a bit dazed that all this was happening so fast. He watched Orihime adjust her Zanpakuto and silently wished he could summon his own weapon so easily. He tried not to focus on his lack of powers and started to think about fabircs again.
Keiji walked out several minutes later with a large pile of clothes and laying them over the back of the table. He picked up a sky blue kimono. "I happened to have one! So we'll use this one first!" Keiji walked over to Orihime, setting down the dress on the table, grabbing the shoulders of her clothes. "Now time to change~!" He declared. And proceeded to pull off her clothes himself.
"That's nice." Orihime said, lookig at the kimono before Keiji started to strip her. "HEY! I can change myself! And I'd rather do it in another room! Ishida-san's here!" She squeeked, attempting to keep herself covered as she pulled herself away from Keiji and his hands.
Uryuu gawked for a few seconds before realizing himself and protesting. "W-what are you d-doing!? Leave her alone!" he stammered. He started to rush forward to help but soon realized that his flailing hands would most likely only make matters worse. "I-I think she could change herself Keiji-san!"
"But girls always change so slow and a kimono is hard to do yourself!" Keiji said, still pulling at the clothes. "It's faster this way!"
"I-Ishida-san...I don't think he's going to stop, do you mind?" Her face was bright red. She could handle dealing with Keiji and his pulling at her clothes, but she didn't think she'd like it if Uryuu saw.
"Oh! R-right! Excuse me Inoue-san!" the Quincy spun around quickly, turning his back toward the soon-to-naked girl while his face turned a vivid shade of pink.
Keiji pulled off her clothes in record time, and with just a few seconds of him pausing in between changes, he was pulling on the kimono onto her body and tying it up, done with the process in two minutes. "DONE!”
"Its all right now Ishida-san." Orihime said, her face still bright red as she looked down at the Kimono she now wore before adjusting her hairpins and then turning to look at Uryuu.
Uryuu turned slowly and blinked at the vision before him. Orihime looked lovely in the shade of blue chosen and the kimono seemed to hang just right. The blush not fading from his face he bowed his head slightly and nervously pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "You look...very nice Inoue-san."
Keiji circled around her. "Hm, the bottom needs to be shortened a bit, and the sleeves as well. Other than that, it fits." He said with a nod, looking her up and down. "Blue is a good color for you."
She had just gotten her own blush to stop until she heard what Uryuu said and she went pink again. "T-thank you, Ishida-san." She said with a slight bow. She then looked over at Keiji. "Thank you. This is a nice kimono." She said, lifting her arms a little bit and turning slightly.
Uryuu noted the long sleeves and hem then as well, feeling a bit embarrased that he hadn't noticed before. Orihime was obviously a distraction to him. He put on his best professional face and strode forward to examine the model better. "I can start using this basic measurments then, or should we measure her again?"
"Measure her." Keiji said, pulling out a measuring tape. "A kimono can be loose, but not all outfits can be." He said and proceeded to measure her.
Orihime took a deep breath to calm herself down as she held her arms up and out so that she could be measured. She might as well get used to this kind of thing if she was going to work with Saga.
Uryuu noticed Orihime's discomfort and atempt to quell it. He decided to try and reasure her. "Don't worry Inoue-san, this kind of thing happens all the time." although most craftsmen were a bit more gentle about it. Still, Saga was Saga, no use trying to change that.
"It's the quickest way to do it. I'm a busy boy." Keiji said with a nod, memorizing the measurements to write down later.
"You may be busy Sagatchi, but sometimes speed isn't always the best thing." She said. "Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy the day." She knew that sounded kind of cheesy, but she didn't care.
Uryuu smiled at Orihime's observation. Just like her to try and lighten up a situation with a optimistic thought. He watched as the measurment taking was finished, smile still on his face.
"Oh, I do, do that. That's why I want the work to go fast, so I can relax." Keiji said.
She smiled at Uryuu and then back at Keiji as they finished the measurements. She wasn't going to ask what was next, becuase she had a feeling that she wouldn't like the answer.
Uryuu flexed his fingers once or twice before truning to Keiji. "Is there something else you'd
like her to try on or shall we get right to the fabrication process?"
"I have all those." Keiji said, pointing to the pile of clothes. "Do you want to keep this kimono Orhime-hime?"
"I would love to keep it, thank you Sagatchi!" She said with a smile. "I really like it." She really did look good in it and it was rather comfortable.
"I can adjust the sleeves and bottom for you sometime if you'd like Inoue-san." Uryuu offered before turning to the pile of clothes. Where should he get started? "Did you have a style in mind for the next one or should I just pick one?" he asked, eyeing some of the outfits warily.
Keiji pulled a small sewing kit from his back pocket, pinning up the sleeves and skirt. "There. I'll sew that later." He said and went to grab another outfit. Then he got her into it just like the kimono.
Orihime blinked as she was quickly stripped out of the kimono and then placed into another outfit, blinking at what was chosen. Her head was spinning right now, so she wasn't quite sure what he had put on her.
The next outfit was less traditional as it was the "punk" ensemble Keiji had mentioned earlier. Uryuu tried not to focus on the top, which was a bit too tight, and focus on the skirt that fit perfectly...but was also a bit on the short side. Embarassed for staring (yet again) the Quincy's eyes darted around the room, desperate from someone else to say something.
Without thinking Orihime quickly snatched back the hairpins, holding them close to her chest. "Sora-nii-san gave me these before he died...please don't touch them again." They were obviously very important to her considering the tears that had sprung into her eyes at the memory.
Uryuu turned quickly at the sound of Orihime's outburst. He rushed to his friend's side, eyes full of concern. "Inoue-san!? Are you alright?" he asked, voice unsure.
Keiji blinked a few times in surprise before guilt shone briefly in his eyes. Then he rushed over to the clothes, digging a bit before returning, holding out a necklace with a bag attached, looking away. "Have this. That way, even if you aren't wearing the hair pins, you can carry them with you. The bag has to be tied, so it won't slip off over your head." Keiji said, tone quiet and very different from his usual speech.
"Thank you, Ishida-san, but I'm all right." She said, wipeing her eyes for a moment before giving them both a small smile as she put the hairpins in the bag and then tied it around her neck. "Thank you." She said after making sure her eyes were dry and then looking at the clothes. "What's next?" She asked.
Uryuu was impressed with Keiji's quick solution to the problem, although he was unsure of why the hairpins had to come down in the first place. "What is next Sagatchi-san?"
Keiji looked at the clothes, silent a few moments. "Nothing. that's all for today." He said softly.
Uryuu blinked at the two of them not completely realizing what was going on. Had Orihime's outburst really caused Keiji's sudden change in mood? "Y-yes. I look forward to sewing for you Sagatchi-san." he bowed low, readying himself to leave as well.
Keiji tensed at the hug and bowed his head. "I am...sorry, Orihime-sama." He whispered just so she could hear before she pulled away from the hug.
She turned to leave, her clothes in her hands before she turned to look back at Keiji, motioning for Uryuu to go on as she knelt down infront of Saga. "Smile, Sagatchi-chan. Everything is all right now. You look better with a smile on your face than this look of sadness." She said, looking up at him with a rather big sisterly smile.
The Quincy noticed Orihime's sign to leave so he made he way to the door and opened it. He paused outside, wondering if he should wait for his friend. He finally decided to head back to his room alone. This seemed to be something between just Orihime and Keiji, it'd be best if he left them be.
Keiji smiled sadly. "I...am very stupid when it comes to understanding people. I am sorry." He said, unable to look into her eyes.
"It's all right. You didn't know what had happened. One day, I'll tell you the whole story about Sora-nii-san." She stood back up and hugged him. "But I like Sagatchi-chan better when he smiles." She said.
Keiji still smiled sadly. "Then I will smile for Orihime-sama tomorrow. Sagatchi must deal with his issues. He did not mean to burden Orihimie-sama." He said.
"Orihime-chan." She corrected, giving Keiji another hug and a smile before she headed for the door. "It's Orihime-CHAN" She said pausing at the door. "And I'll make sure to get these back to you." She said before she left.
Keiji nodded. "Orihime-chan." He said. He'd tell her later she could keep them he decided when she left. For the moment, he need to gather his thoughts and rebuild the barriers.
(OOC: Looks like I lost a post somewhere x.x Sorry ya'll.)
