"Whoa." Xiao Lang hardly had anytime to react. He'd barley gotten to the garden when she pulled him to another spot in it. It was all he could do to keep his balance.

Fallowing her finger he looked up at the stars. He hadn't noticed, they weren't usually there, were they? Blinking some in confusion when she proclaimed it a teddy bear. That's what she wanted to show him? "Uh... yeah." He answered. It looked enough like a bear, he could see that.

"Those are our stars. I claimed them as ours," she said with a giggle as she clung to him, blushing. "I was going to show them to you when you said you'd come by my house for your thirteenth birthday. But you didn't get to visit, so..." She rested her head on his shoulder. "I... I look at them every night, and I think of you... See that brightest one? That's your star. It shines so much, even if it's really dark outside and it's so far away. That's why... that's why I never gave up looking for you..."

Her gaze then turned distant. "But then I was pulled here... I couldn't feel you, I couldn't see the stars... I... I just lost hope and I... I thought I'd lost you forever..."

Still staring up at the stars he let her cling to him all she wanted. It sounded like something she'd do. It was nice to know how much she thought of him, but it was also somehow sad.

Then when she started talking about coming here he shifted his gaze down to her "I thought I'd lost you too. ...That's why-"

"I know," she said softly, turning her head to look up at him. She then smiled. She knew how much it hurt him to talk about his past, so she stopped him before he could go any further. The night was beautiful and she didn't want anything to ruin it. And she knew very well where their conversation was heading, if she had allowed him to continue. He'd told her the story once before: how he thought she'd died, because he could no longer feel her, and how he'd lost it, giving in to his anger and hate, killing everyone who stood in his way.

Ying Fa shivered at the memory. If it had happened in reverse, she would, no doubt, have done the same.

She stood on her toes and kissed his cheek, then once more snuggled against him. "If you look closely," she started, carefully switching the topic and once more pointing to their constellation, "there's a small star right beside the brightest one." Her cheeks turned pink. "That's my star. Because when I'm with you..." She closed her eyes and leaned against him. "...I feel like I can do anything."
