When: Evening, after Yugi recieves Atem's gift
Summary: Atem wants to talk to Yugi more about what's going on with him.

Yugi opened the door to the room, peeking his head in. "Hey Atem." He said, walking in and smiling. "You wanted to tal-" He trailed off, staring at Atem.

"Atem, what's wrong?" Yugi asked, looking worried.

"I;m cold." Atem's head popped out of the blankets. "It's freezing..."

At this, he spotted the gloves and scarf around Yugi's neck, and his face lit up a little at the sight of his gifts being worn.

Yugi walked over to Atem. "I suppose it would be for you." He said. He pulled off his scarf, wrapping it around Atem's neck. "We should order you some winter wear." He said.

"...Oh, I...yeah...."

Atem blushed a little as the scarf was wrapped around his neck. It felt good for Yugi to be with him....though, he didn't ask Yugi over for that.

"Aibou, ah....I...I have to talk to you about something..."

Yugi nodded after he had the scarf securely around Atem's neck. He looked into his eyes. "What is it?" He asked.

Atem looked into Yugi's eyes, taking a deep breath as he willed himself to speak.

"....I can't sleep," he said quietly. "I'm afraid that if I sleep, I'll.....lose myself again."

Yugi fell silent for several moments. "You'll...want to be a plushie again?" He asked, looking at Atem worriedly.

The silence from Atem was longer, but eventually, he nodded.

"I..." He took a deep breath. "I don't know what to do anymore. Not even caffeine pills seem to help. I already feel...like I'll be tired soon."

At this, he looked down, his eyes closed. He wasn't sure how Yugi would take it, even with all of what had happened before.

"...we need to do something. We need to find out what's wrong." Yugi said.

"There are people with a lot of powers here, right? Is there someone like Isis-san? Who could see what's going on?" He asked.

Atem thought for a moment on that. He recalled hearing Isis had been in the compound, but....it was before he got there, he was sure.

However, his mind immediately hit on the next best thing.

"....Yuuko." Atem almost gasped. "I almost forgot. Both of them are capable of fortune telling. Perhaps they could help...."

He didn't mention about their other powers. He didn't see the need to.

"Then I'll ask one of the Yuuko-san's to tell your fortune." Yugi said with a nod. "They'll tell us something. I just know it." He said, wanting Atem to have a bit of hope."

"...Be careful when you ask," Atem quietly responded. "Neither of them will grant you wish unless you pay a price. That's how it usually seems to work with the Ichiharas."

Though what kind of price would Yugi need to pay for a simple fortune?

"Then I'll pay it." Yugi said. "As long as they can tell me what's wrong with you, I have no complaints."

Atem looked at Yugi at this. He'd gone through a lot on account of him; a lot of the things Mio did to him had affected Yugi directly. Yet Yugi wanted to help even when Yuuko was mentioned.

"....I'd do the same for you..."

He took Yugi and held him, at least as well as a man buried in several layers of blankets and a scarf could.

Yugi smiled fondly. "I know you would Atem." He said, hugging him as best he could. "A friend I could count on and could count on me." He whispered.

Not just a friend...

Atem leaned over and gave him a small peck on his cheek.

"...A partner."
