It takes a long time to die of abdominal injuries of this sort. It's also very painful. There was so much blood.
Still bent over in a kneeling position, Xiao Lang's breathing was labored and shallow. If he let his stomach muscles work then each breath only forced more blood out of his body. He increased the pressure he held the wound with as more blood found its way into mouth.
She'd lied. How dare she? From the sound of it, it sounded like he was... Xiao Lang shook his head slowly. Who'd believe that? It'd taken so much out of him just to ask for help, he wouldn't be able to explain what transpired here.
He had to keep consciousness.
