Characters: Faye Valentine (OU), OPEN
Where: Outside, near Building One and wherever the closest Keeper is.
When: During Part 3 of modplot, a few hours after the Keepers fell.
Summary: Faye ventures outside to get a closer look at the Entropi, and to test out her new powers. ((She is telepathic now, so I'd appreciate it if anyone responds includes their character's thoughts in their comments, should Faye choose to try and read their mind.))
Warnings: Probably none?
Some hours after the Entropi had crashed to the ground, and Faye had been crippled with the sudden 'noise' of countless foreign thoughts, Faye cautiously ventured outside. With a great deal of effort she'd figured out the trick to tuning out unwanted thoughts, although her head still ached from her previous strain. She squinted in the sunlight, groaning a little. "God, I feel like I have a hangover," she muttered.
Faye fixed her eyes on the nearest Entropi. It lay still in the crater of its impact, seeming somehow... feeble. Chewing on the inside of her lip, Faye considered whether to approach. The fact that it hadn't killed her yet implied that it was one of the Keepers. Even so, they weren't exactly friendly....
"What the hell's wrong with it?" she murmured. After a few more moments' hesitation, she walked slowly, evenly, towards the glowing orb, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. She stopped when she was still several yards away and stood with her hands in the pockets of her bomber jacket, staring at it.
After a bit, she cleared her throat. "Um... hi," she said, feeling stupid. "...So what the hell's wrong with you?" She didn't expect the creature to understand her... if Entropi could speak English, they wouldn't need the Warden. She chewed on her lip some more, then carefully, carefully opened up her mind, focusing it on the being before her.
She stood still for a few seconds, staring intently at the Entropi, then shook her head and looked dazed. "Well, shit," she commented. "...We are totally screwed, aren't we?"
