Summary: Mel's on patrol, bumps into one of the, what she calls, Capes.

After Melaka had tucked Harth into bed for the third time, she donned Leon's coat and grabbed her blaster and scythe, strapping them to her person. Mel made her way from her room, closing the door behind her, making sure Gun stayed in the room with Harth to protect him from any intruders. The pink and black haired slayer opened the door leading to the hallway, then closed it after her, making her way to the roof. The winds seemed to be worse at night, whipping and tugging at her hair, pulling it in all sorts of directions. Mel started over towards the edge, then dropped down, landing in a slight crouch before beginning her patrol.
Maybe an hour or so into it, she found herself on the fire escape of the first apartment building, looking in on the dimly lit bedroom that Leon Kennedy was currently sleeping in. Mel was crouched on the fire escape, hugging her knees to her chest as her face was a few inches from the window and she watched him sleep. It wasn't that she was a pervert or a peeping Tom, she just had to keep reminding herself that he was there. He wasn't leaving anytime soon. Mel chewed at her bottom lip when she watched him sigh in his sleep and turn his head to the side, revealing a large expanse of neck, and the chain to the cross he wore all the time. The cross she'd given him.
