Summary: Shadow continues to teach Tohru the basics of self-defense

With a bored sigh, Shadow lifted the kitchen table and set it against the wall, near the chairs he'd already moved. With the layout of their apartment, the kitchen and main living room were more or less continuous, marked only by the types of furniture within, and the line where vinyl met carpet. With the furniture out of the way, the floor was an open space that, while not as big as the rooftop, would suffice for now. Besides, it wasn't as if Tohru was exactly ready to do much beyond the very basics, still, even if she thought otherwise. She'd only just barely begun to learn, and the exercises he led her through would fit in the indoor space well enough. Maybe someday she would be skilled enough to attempt some basic sparring, but hopefully by then she would have found someone more suited to her skill level to test herself against. Shadow was terrible at holding back.
These thoughts struck him as a little pathetic, really. It was hard for Shadow to see himself as a teacher of any kind, given how he would prefer not to deal with others in general, and teaching someone who knew nothing of combat how to defend herself took a great deal of patience he normally wouldn't have. Maybe if he got tired of the military some day, he could train idiots how to shoot.
Yeah. Right.
But, this was Tohru, and he was bored. The things boredom did to him here, he would never fully comprehend. Shaking his head a little to himself, the hedgehog walked over to the girl's room and knocked a few times on the door.
