They were all avoiding each other; Wufei because he did not want to offend them. It was frustrating to lose the easy, polite companionship of the two people who had accepted him into their shared home, and also disheartening that Relena was avoiding speaking of the matter at all. He understood her reasons, but even so, he had become used to being able to speak openly with her, even after the recent strain upon their contract.
When the knocking continued, and no one answered, he finally went to the door to see who was calling, and was faced with the expected and the unexpected in the faces of both Quatres.
"You are remarkably good at not taking hints," he said, his tone cool and polite.

"And you should realize there's a reason for that," he said. "How are we supposed to handle a situation we know nothing about? Or rather, know only half of the story? You know we can tell when things aren't being said. In a place like this, keeping secrets from people on our side is the last thing we should be doing." Well, maybe not everyone on their side, but at least the people from their own world.

He swung the door open, moving aside so that the two Quatres could enter. He did not sit or offer them a place to sit; this was not intended to be a particularly civil conversation, but it should take place in the privacy of the apartment at the very least.
