Tomo walked over with a smile. "Hello there. That's a nice look. And an interesting spell," he added. He wondered vaguely if it could be broken. Well, now was not the time to play with it.
"I've been poking around some memories," he said. "Yours are hard to touch," he admitted. There was a veil there, keeping his ki from invading very deeply. "So, who's coming to this party?"
"I've confirmed Wufei Chang and Heero Yuy.. Now.. If you need memories.. Look at the one I'm thinking of now.. If you can.." He imagined himself impaling one of his minion vampires on a metal pike, laughing as the vampire struggled. The pike went through the stomach before Harth thrust a wooden stake into the minion's heart, the vampire bursting into dust. "Do you understand?" Harth asked as he began to walk. "I don't want you linked to this either.. call it.. professional courtesy. Be wary."
"Oooh, those little pilots," he said. He only knew what that word meant from the few memories he had gleaned over the past year. He paused as he touched the vision. "So, that's how your kind dies?" He drew out the memory to store in his shell. "Very well. And I understand. My spell will make them overlook us completely."
"Just.. The part with the wooden stake.. any wood works really.. I was thinking falling into a tree.. But I suppose you'll have to probe my mind for movements, words.. right?" Oh, right. "Are we invisible now?"
Tomo touched his shell. "We are now," he said. "And I don't have to probe far. I will cast an illusion to project your movements and voice from where you are. And I can provide a sharp branch as well, if you like."
"It would help if you were to project an illusion of him infront of me so I be less likely to over guess.. I don't want to extend beyond my limits, the act must be flawless." He said with a smile. He could almost hear the others coming. His drawing out Wufei and Heero were just enough to bring out the army of witnesses. Perhaps even his sister. He just hoped he could have what he wanted.
Capture was not an option. If he had to, he would play the beast they all thought he was.
Tomo took a breath, then did something he hadn't done in all the time he had been there. In the presence of another, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the "shin", the small clam shell, and held it out on his hand. It opened, as if of its own power, shimmering and seeming to release a fine mist. "I will do one better," he murmured, already concentrating. "If you will allow me, I shall draw you into the illusion, so you will feel that you are actually there, and can control yourself with perfect precision."
"I'm interested." He looked at the shin, the clam shell, smiling wickedly at it. It was cute, really, but at the same time just so.. odd. A quirky gimmick for a quirky man, he suspected. Harth nodded, "Show me."
Tomo concentrated further, closing his eyes. It was somewhat trusting of him, for the more ki he used to create his illusions, the more defenseless he became and the more he had to tune out the real world. The vampire's brain was hard to infect with the spell; he had to put a great deal of effort into it.
But if it worked right, Harth would suddenly feel like he was in two places at once, a seriously intense out of body experience. Himself, standing beside Tomo, and another one he could move and control, visible to anyone who came within the radius of Tomo's spell, several feet in front of him. It was a complicated spell, since Tomo had to weave the lines of illusion in many directions at once.
Harth stared out, at himself, but it wasn't him, his true from that moved and reacted to it, it was the other him. He concentrated, attempting to force his main senses over to the the other.
He's motionless form could only smile as he experimented with the new form, swift movements and a little slayer like acrobatics, which ended in a throaty laugh. Heh hehe..
Tomo smiled distantly, vaguely, pleased with Harth's reaction but careful not to let his concentration falter. He wove illusion upon illusion, making the place where they actually stood look like a thicket to discourage any from walking into them. He made sure that the connection between Harth and his illusion was secure. Most importantly, he spread the lines of illusion out, to bind anyone who came close. He could not afford to miss anyone who entered the park. They had to believe what they were seeing. It took a lot out of him, but he was managing well so far.
"You will feel attacks," Tomo murmured. "But remind yourself that they will not kill you."
