Summary: What with comas, being buried alive, and drinking love potions, the inhabitants of Paj-Epta have been busy. They need to catch up.

In times of trouble and in times of doubt, the Piemaker turned to traditional Southern peach pie with brown sugar crust. It had been his father's favorite pie, he remembered, the pie his mother had made for his father's birthday and their anniversary and whenever they had had a fight. After his father had abandoned him, and all through his adolescence, he had hated peach pie. Baking it, eating it, made him thinking of his father - something he avoided at all costs. So he only went to the trouble of making it when he was already upset enough that it couldn't get much worse.
Despite the reassurances he'd been given that periodic comas were perfectly normal here, he couldn't get his head around the idea that he'd missed Christmas. In a way it was a blessing - he hadn't been awake to be horribly depressed about not spending the holiday with Chuck.
Sighing, Ned set the hot pie onto the cooling rack on the counter, taking off the pink oven mitts that were his only souvenir of home. He had hoped his roommates would come back to share the pie with him. Not that he was lonely...
