Ahh... the smell was so wonderful. "You're very beautiful~" Fye told the flower, gently running his finger along the air just centimeters from the petal. Because touching it would be a bad idea. It usually made the flower die quicker which would have been a bad thing. He stood up and decided to listen to how the flower grew bashful and modest, and he chuckled softly because of it.

Then suddenly there was a loud sound of the door shutting and he jumped, turning an ear towards the sound. He didn't need to ask though. Through all that sound and noise he found Kurogane's aura, and then heard his voice. An explosion of those sweet feelings made his face flush slightly. "...." His tongue stuck to the top of his mouth as he tried to reply, and he struggled to get something out. But the big lump of emotion, both negative and positive, was making it hard for sound to come out of his throat.

The cat suddenly grew shy and his face darkened and a few strangled noises escaped his mouth. He took a heavy deep breath to soothe the jumbling of emotions, and finally managed to create a pathway that sound could travel through. "Hey..." Which only seemed to make him blush more for some reason, his tail curling around his ankle and his ears folding slightly. The plants around him suddenly silenced in interest. After all, they knew exactly what was going on here.

He shifted quietly, casting a look around at the plants. The sudden onset of this was a bit troubling, but he had been doing a damn good job at ignoring it before. Probably just that those feelings got to be too much to hold back now. Kurogane had the annoying realization that in trying to figure out how he felt he had to fall back on those stupid romance stories for guidance. Ugh. Yet they worked and it made perfect sense to him. Guess it was only a matter of time... Kurogane had no clue what to do now though and flustered slightly. Didn't help that Fye was blushing either.

"I can go if you wanted to be alone with," Kurogane glanced over at some white flowers next to him, "... things." Thoughts and other things, he didn't know. Just... Hells. Kurogane sighed, not relaxing at all and not looking at Fye at all. Hoping the cat said he could stay even if he didn't know what he'd do.

God this was going horribly. The flowers around them started telling him to let Kurogane to say, and some others were telling him to go up to him and to 'follow his heart.' Which made him look a little more flustered, if it was even possible to go down that far. Finally he decided that the purple flower next to him was right, and that he should at least talk with the other man. After all, if he felt this way that meant he enjoyed being in Kurogane's company too.

His hands went to his pockets, tail starting to wag slowly back and forth. "... no." He pretended that it wasn't too much of a big deal, turning so he could both hide and try to cool his flushed cheeks. He moved to walk down the aisle again, going a little slowly so Kurogane could have the chance to catch up with him. "It's alright." His heart thumped painfully heart in his chest. Of course the object of his imagination causing him some distress would end up in the green house with him. It was his luck and the irony that seemed to attach to him barnacles attach to rocks. "I really don't mind."

Kurogane felt a bit warmer as he lifted at being allowed to stay. Which was stupid so he tried reining in his strangely glowing heart. Though their last little thing over the communicators hadn't been pleasant and was actually a bit troublesome now that he thought about it... He took off his coat since it was warm in here and left it by the door. Kurogane walked to catch up with the other, feeling an odd feeling of nervousness. He'd spent time with the cat. No need to be nervous about it now. Kurogane cleared his throat and ran a hand over his hair. "Ah, how are you?" He sounded a bit unsure, but he was doing well at covering it up. Maybe this would give him enough time to get his brain to start working again. Kurogane looked over at Fye and had another spike of that feeling shoot through him. He looked away quickly, thinking anything not about the other was not going to come easily for a while it seemed.

The flowers seemed to giggle, and Fye had to guess it was at Kurogane. Only because he himself had managed to gain control of his emotions. He glanced towards on of the plants they passed and it told him that Kurogane was acting shy, which in turn made Fye smile a little weakly. He couldn't tease Kurogane for that if he had been feeling the same way himself just seconds ago. In fact, hearing Kurogane was shy made him shy as well, which in turn made the commotion around them seem to get louder. Oh, the name thing seemed to have been forgotten too. It was hard to be angry when all this emotion was swirling around inside him. "Oh, uh... I'm alright... you?" He himself was a little unsure, and his voice was a bit soft. He was doing as well at covering his awkwardness up as Kurogane was. And as well meaning the flowers were cooing and laughing lightly at the young love that was charged between them but being denied.

He looked over at the soft voice, slightly eased by it. "Fine... Same, I guess," he mumbled. Though he was feeling more then fine right now. He idly wondered if he would have been feeling like this before if he hadn't so stubbornly tried ignoring the first little sparks of what was now burning in him. Didn't matter, couldn't push this aside even if he wanted to now. Now it would be impossible to push it off or blame it on lust or anything. Though what that left it being made Kurogane squirm a bit. That wasn't something he knew how to deal with. Now he wanted his memories back just to know how he handled this with Fye's other half. Kurogane slipped his hands into his pockets and kept changing his mind about if he wanted to look at Fye or not. Or if he could look at Fye without losing the ground he had made against his blush.

The dull roar of sound shushed as the two of them started to talk with each other, all the plants listening and watching with extreme interest. Which was even more embarrassing then walking next to Kurogane was. One of the plants suddenly yelled at Fye to take Kurogane's hand as they walked past and he jumped, stepping away from the sudden sound. Of course, he didn't take into account how close they were actually walking beside each other and collided roughly into Kurogane's side. He grabbed on to his arm to keep himself from tripping himself, blushing deeply and looked surprised with himself. "Sorry..." Fye didn't have the will to let go though. In fact, he settled himself a little closer.

Kurogane looked at the floor in front of them, enjoying the silence but feeling the other was fidgety in it. Had he know that was not from the silence he would not have tried thinking of something to say. Always New Years. You were suppose to get ready to start with a clean slate, yet this added a whole new level of things he had to clear. This wasn't helping- Kurogane's hand shot out of his pocket before he processed that Fye could trip. He took hold of Fye's arm, giving the other a slightly concerned look. "... It's fine." Didn't know why the other suddenly jumped though. Kurogane looked at the side the cat had been running from but didn't see any cause for alarm. He gave a slightly odd look at the flowers there before dropping it. "You alright?" Didn't think Fye just tripped. One rarely trips sideways when walking forward like that.

He sighed a little after the initial sudden panic of almost falling flat to your face had passed. Then he noticed Kurogane was holding his arm as well. His ears flattened a little and slowly he allowed his hand to start gravitating south. "I'm alright..." he mumbled. He allowed his hand to find Kurogane's and as he intertwined their fingers he lowered his face so that the blush could be hidden from the other. The urge was just too big to ignore. And of course, the plant that shouted that went ballistic which only seemed to fuel that embarrassment. He just hoped that Kurogane wouldn't throw his action back in his face.

Still wondering what the hell just happened, but oh well. "Good," Kurogane dropped his hold on Fye's arm. Feeling Fye's hand brush against his sleeve made Kurogane look down and curiously watch Fye interlace their fingers together. Kurogane spirits lifted and his eyes were softer when he looked back up at Fye. Of course, the annoying part of his brain had a minor heart attack as it thought about what that could mean and at what possible level the cat felt that. Kurogane was good at shutting that part of his brain out when the rest of him felt good. He let his hand rest in Fye's, waiting to see if the other started to walk again. "... What are you doing for New Year's?"

He hesitated a moment, feeling Kurogane's gaze on him and nervous only because he couldn't see that Kurogane was not angered or offended, before slowly starting to pull his hand back. After all, he had no idea and the emotions in him were too strong and were colliding and making it hard to read Kurogane's aura. "New Year's?" It was a strange question. He imagined it would e with Fai and Kurogane in the apartment. Where he would get to watch them love each other and be sick all over himself. He wasn't sure about spending time with Tomoyo, and Kurogane was probably busy. He shifted to take a step back into walking as he began to answer. "Nothing really..."

Kurogane automatically tightened his hold on the other's hand when he felt it slip. He flustered slightly from his actions, but kept holding on as they started walking again. "Just wondering... Suppose to spend it with friends and family... Sure Tomoyo will probably be running around somewhere..." Oh good, the awkward was back, Kurogane had been starting to miss it. He sighed, trying to get what he wanted out. "Come over if you want." That was his own gruff way of an invitation. But really, he had two people here he considered friends, closer then the rest of the people he'd talk with if prodded into it. And now that he was not ignoring those fluttery feelings, he wanted to spend the day like he hoped next year would be. Now he was hoping it would be with Fye.

That was certainly a minor surprise. Kurogane tightened so Fye stopped pulling, and when Kurogane relaxed he allowed his hand to curl around the others comfortably again. Directly connected to Kurogane now, he could really feel the awkward. Fye flickered an ear in silent interest as he listened to Kurogane. Fye was sure that the New Year's would probably be spent with just Tomoyo. And if Tomoyo wasn't then Kurogane would be all alone wouldn't? He doubted Tomoyo would do that, but knowing how their luck was that night will be the night she had somewhere else to be. And Fye really did not want to watch to epople cuddle all night until he barfed. A soft smile spread across his face as he realized what a night like new years was spent with just the two of them alone, and because Fye knew that Kurogane's question was really a request. "I'd like that very much."

Fye was failing to remember Tomoyo's unhealthy interest in seeing Kurogane kiss blond cats. And while he'd be damn if he would let her see them hold hands let alone kiss, Kurogane was near certain she'd give an annoying smile an excuse herself to let them have a healthy chunk of the night and day to themselves. Kurogane smiled a bit and stroked the back of Fye's hand with his thumb once while they walked. He new the other had a good sense of his mood most of the time, but he said, "Me too" anyways. It'd be good to spend the night and day relaxing with the other. There was far too much stress surrounding him, them, this prison in general..

They were reaching in the end of the first aisle, so Fye decided to come to a stop again. This time he turned to lift his head toward Kurogane. The other was being so different, and the feelings inside him were tremendously powerful. The simple stroking on the back of his hand sent his heart racing, Kurogane's voice made him want to melt, and holding his hand felt so surreal. There had to be something wrong with himself, and Fye acknowledged that, but Kurogane was sending him vibes that made it hard not to want to belong to the man who was walking with him when his mind was losing the battle to his heart.

"Kurogane..." Fye took a step closer and used his opposite hand to find his face, swiping his thumb against Kurogane's bottom lip to do the same thing. And then, very slowly, hesitating only once, the urges inside him convinced him to get up on his tip-toes and reach up for a kiss. It was a soft kind of peck that lingered for a bit to long; the too sweet kind that made him flush when he pulled away. A flower that was on the bench just a few feet in front of them suddenly popped open in response.

The made Fye self conscious, and he looked away from Kurogane sharply and pulled back his hands to wrap his arms around himself protectively, almost as if wanting to keep all those emotions he was feeling and trying to express locked inside. After all, the awkward was not good when you had such a hungry and eager audience.

Kurogane came to a comfortable stop with the other, glancing over at a plant idly. It was odd how quickly he had relaxed into the feeling this was (not enough to even think of it by it's proper name, of course). Yet it was hard not to sink into them. They felt familiar and that was something Kurogane had been developing a taste for. At first, he would seek out anything familiar to see if it would spark something useful. Then he started using them to help keep himself rooted in the 'real' present. With Fye it had been starting to morph into something else. It was clear to see what that was now. This could not be passed off as his body remember whatever he did with Fay. This was for the half of the cat that Kurogane knew and was friends with.

He looked down at the other, brow furrowing lightly until Fye's hand touched his face. Slowly he relaxed and looked softly as Fye moved closer. It was then that any doubts he had of whether he and the cat were feeling similar things was erase. He started to respond when the other moved back. Kurogane didn't notice the flower or else he would have killed the moment by asking what the fuck was with the flower. Luckily, his eyes were busy with Fye's.

The other turned away and curled into himself which was not liked by Kurogane. He placed a hand on Fye's shoulder and pulled him back. Cupping his other hand on Fye's cheek, Kurogane coaxed his head so the cat was looking up at him again. As if to scold the other about 'finishing what you start', Kurogane placed his mouth firmly on the other's and eased into a sweet kiss. One that didn't 'linger' but 'lasted' a pleasant moment.
