Summary: As things have calmed down a bit, Fayt goes back to working on the weapons. Jing drops by unexpectedly.

To say that Jing had been thrilled with his gift of new boots was an understatement, as he'd put them on and then happily tromped around the apartment to get used to them while the two girls looked on and just shook their heads. As much as he liked his old ones, they were getting worn out and a little tight, so this was perfect. He decided to head over to see Fayt and let him know how much the gift was appreciated.

So, wearing said new boots and his new long-tailed hat (in which he looked just a goofy as Aligoté had predicted) as well as a big smile, he went knocking on Fayt's door.

Fayt initially ignored the knock on the door, thinking that one of his roommates would get it. But when nobody did, he was forced to get up and head over to the door, clearly hesitant to leave his work behind. That all changed, however, when he saw who was on the other side - and the fact that his friend was proudly sporting the present he'd gotten him.

"Hey, Jing," he greeted, grinning. "Come to say thank you?" he teased.

Jing was wearing a grin so wide it could have split the Obex in two. It was good to see him smiling and happy again. "Just came to show them off!" he teased, then laughed. "Of course I came to say thank you! They're great!"

"Figured you'd come around and do just that," Fayt said with a laugh. He took out the present he'd received from Jing out of his pocket. "Thanks for this, too. It's perfect." He then stepped aside. "But hey, come on in. Something to eat or drink, maybe?"
