It was far too cold. Yes he had said that before but it was just getting colder and colder. He was not use to below freezing temperatures week after week. Ugh. Kurogane stomped a bit for a few paces to try and warm up his legs a bit. He had tried staying in doors, yet the need to move and get some form of exercise overrides the freezing factor
( ... )
As expected Tomoyo burst out into laughter as the ball hit where she aimed, unable to even pick up her hat. Tomoyo wrapped her arms around her stomach and doubled over as the laughter split through her. She almost fell over, her knees barely able to support her. She heard Kurogane coming and his anger only fueled her laughter. The fact that she never expected to hit Kurogane let alone hit him in the head made this whole thing almost ridiculously funny. In a weak and futile form of retaliation, she tried to bend down and form another ball in her hands as ammo, but ended up falling over and sitting in the snow. Which seemed to make Tomoyo laugh even harder. Weakly she tried to throw the weak ball but it really was useless.
As he got closer, Kurogane paused to grab a handful of snow. Grumbling something about ridicules princesses and the deplorable actions some of them make when outside of court, Kurogane returned his death glare on to the girl. Not that she noticed, he noted with some level of disgust. Why seeing him angry could reduce her to that was a question that had plagued him for years. He let the weak snowball hit his knee as he continued forward. Kurogane halted a few (safe) feet away and hurled the loosely packed snowball at her stomach. It was so much easier to want to kill her from a distance. Unfortunately. He knelt down to get more snow, "What the hell?!"
She felt the snow hit her, but she could still only laugh at him. After all, that was rain more than it was a ball. Slowly she managed to take deep breaths and calm herself down into little giggles. Tomoyo pulled herself up and swayed a little, almost falling back again, but settled herself. She panted, breath condensing in the air in front of her, and grabbed her hat. "You should have seen you're face!" Was her reply. She settled the hat on her head and then knelt to scoop some of her own snow up, rolling it up into a ball in her hands. "Is this war~?"
