Rose waved as she approached him. "I'm here, Grandmaster!"

"Ah, Rose," the Grandmaster replied, regarding her gratefully, "it is good to see you. This weather is somewhat disagreeable when one is trapped in it."

"I can imagine." Rose stared up at the mistletoe about Kragok curiously. "How is it doing this, do you know?"

"I have no idea. Magic, I guess," Kragok replied, almost spitting out the word 'magic'. His disdain for the supernatural was strong, and ingrained besides. Not even spending time with Persephone would rid him of it, for all the oddities that Econtra presented. Magic was simply something that was too far out there for his beliefs to truly comprehend.

"I suppose so." Rose rubbed her paws together. It was partly that she was cold, but mostly she was just fidgeting. "So, um... what now?" She knew perfectly well what now, but she wasn't sure how much she was looking forward to it.

"I suppose we have to kiss. Is that not the Yule tradition?" he asked, shrugging. As much as a kiss from the girl would be welcomed, he would rather it wasn't forced by such circumstances. Still, he'd rather not freeze, either.

"I, um... suppose so." Rose stepped forward hesitantly. It wasn't as if she didn't like Kragok, but the idea of kissing him...

Kragok knew she was nervous, but that would have to be put aside if she actually entered the mistletoe's area of hold. "Are you sure you're fine with this?" he inquired.

Rose closed her eyes and took a deep breath, as if she was about to dive into a river. "I'm fine, Grandmaster."

She stepped forward again, bringing her close enough to be caught by the mistletoe.

In truth, he was only slightly put off by this. He did know that he was older than her, but was he truly so unappealing? Regardless, he made a silent promise to make the young woman regret not kissing him sooner. After all, one learned a few things after being married, and while Kragok was no Echidna Casanova, he was certainly not inept at the arts of love and lust, by any means.

"Whenever you're ready, Rose," he said.

Rose nodded and leaned forward slightly, intending to just give him a peck on the cheek.

Kragok was hardly going to let her get away with nothing but a quick peck after all the hesitation she showed. As she leaned in, he turned his head, catching Rose's lips with his own. He couldn't help but laugh in his own mind as he shared a kiss with Rose like those that had made his own wife blush. He really couldn't complain too much about the mistletoe curse. There had been worse in Econtra before. Much worse.

When they finally broke off, a blush was spreading across Rose's face like the one that had prompted a comment about red being her natural fur color. She was too surprised to say much of anything coherent, and trying to figure out whether she should have enjoyed that nearly as much as she had.

"Are you well, Rose?" Kragok wryly asked. "You're as red as your namesake."

"I... um..." Rose's brain hadn't started working fully enough that she could form sentences yet.

Maybe they didn't need words. Or rather, that's what Kragok thought. He decided to give her lips a bit of a jump start, with an encore of the same kiss he had just given her. Perhaps a second jolt, in his opinion, would spark some response.
