Summary: Walking throught the park, poor, unassuming Ava gets stuck under a tree and doesn't understand why.
Warnings: Possibly some cursing, apart from that, I'm not sure.
The brunette secretary from Peoria was growing tired of being stuck in her apartment during the cold weather. Deciding to grin and bear it, she dressed warmly then exited the third apartment building. Starting up the street, she turned to the right when she reached the fountain, heading for the park. I'll do a lap or two then head back home, she thought to herself, tucking her hands into her coat pockets. Once she reached the edge of the park, Ava looked towards the sky, watching the snow fall. A small smile curled up the corners of her mouth. No matter how much she hated this place, how she had no reason to be here, she was always calmed by the sight of snow falling.
Lowering her head, Ava turned to the right, following along the outer edge of the park, enjoying the sound of her boots crunching in the snow. A few minutes in, she began to zig-zag, crossing over the bridge when she came to it. She stopped there for a moment, resting her forearms on the handrail, looking down at the frozen water. Ava suddenly wanted a rock to drop into the pond and hear the sound of the ice breaking as the rock fell through. Ava stepped off the bridge, making her way through the trees. She stopped suddenly, and not by her own means. Blue-green eyes widened and she tried to step forward again, but it was if she was walking in place. "What the hell?" She scoffed loudly, throwing her arms up in the air.
