It wouldn't be too long a wait before Joshua would make his arrival in the park. Oddly, he was mostly wearing attire that would be more appropriate for warmer weather, not snow. Although, to the credit of not freezing to death, he did wrap a scarf cozily around his neck. He would appear to Rhyme gradually from the distance, approaching behind the church at his own pace, until he reached her position and came to a calming halt. Before greeting Beat's younger sister, whom he never had the opportunity to meet face to face in his world either, he would give her an eerily charming smile. "Apologies for the late."

Rhyme had settled comfortably against the wall and closed her eyes to take a moment to just relax and mull over everything that had happened since coming here ( ... )

"It's no wonder your brother speaks so highly of you," he added, almost entirely out of the blue, with a chuckle. Then a drawn out pause as he stared at her from top to bottom, before speaking up again. "But enough of that. After all, this meeting is primarily to discuss the deeper points of the Econtra experience. I wouldn't be much help at all if I merely stood here tossing compliments." He cleared his throat and smiled. "On my way here, I had a brilliant idea. We can make a pseudo-game of this. Here's how it works. You start by telling me what you know, or what you think you know, and I'll tell you how close you are to the truth. Fun, huh?"

Rhyme wasn't entirely sure how to respond to such a compliment. It seemed pretty high coming from someone who didn't have much to judge her on yet, and it also made her wonder just what it was that Beat had been telling him ( ... )
